The cart went together relatively easy and looks wonderful. The butcher block top is good looking, although not authentic butcher block, so I’ll still feel a cutting board will be necessary to protect it. Love the drawers and trash bin. Grey is on the blue gray side, would have preferred a more true gray. Although I’ll make it work. Changed hardware to match my new kitchen so it’ll blend right in with other cabinets. A value for the $$$ paid.

I wanted to fit a 3ft nook and I read the overall length at just over 41", I banked on the handle being a little longer and if I left it off it would fit. I was wrong, without the handle it hangs over just a little bit but I like it enough to keep it. Great color and I have a small kitchen so the extra room to put trash without having a trash can in my dining room is a plus. I was able to fit a trash can that is 14.5x 10.5x 15.25 it's snug but after getting it in, the compartment opens and closes just fine.

It comes out of the box with a horribly strong smell. The cancer warning was a nice touch after getting hit with the smell. It is a small island, but it is nice when all assembled.

The cabinet is sturdy and well built. The plugs to cover the screws need sanding to get them to fit or you leave them out. A traditional 13 gallon kitchen trash can WILL NOT fit- it’s 2 inches too tall. So now I have to buy a new bin for the odd shape. But overall it looks great.

This kitchen cart is just what I needed for my kitchen. It's made well and it's very sturdy, putting together was a little challenge, definitely 2 people job. I get lots of complements on it, everyone is asking where I got it from. The "garbage bin" compartment I use for recyclables. I will definitely recommend it.

The overall quality is great and it is well made! I bought it purposely to hide the garbage, and to my surprise, it can actually hold a size-able garbage can - you might have to be creative. It does not take that long to assemble the product, however I will advise paying close attention to the instructions and following the drawings/pictures in the manual. In addition to serving as a storage, you can also "update" your kitchen to a neat look by tucking your garbage out of sight!

I love the minimal elegant look, matches my new ikea kitchen perfectly. The wood block has a nice weight and thickness to it. I'll have to find a garbage bin to fit the middle compartment.

I was very excited for this kitchen cart and was greatly disappointed when we were building it and realized that there were manufacturing errors that made the pieces not fit together. Part 5 had wrong sized holes that would not fit those screws (that lock in) and the holes did not align with either the top or bottom of the rest of the structure, including part 8 which is the top part. The look of this cart works particularly well with our kitchen, so we went to Lowe's and bought some corner brackets to support the structure. This is how we attached piece 5 to the other pieces. The differences are noticeable to anyone looking for more than a few seconds. The piece is further away on the bottom by about 2mm since the slit that fits the flat piece does not align. The drawer on the left is slanted. There was a bit of damage to the pieces and there is one where it is quite noticeable on the left shelf part. Other than that, other chipping paint is not too noticeable. In all, paying over $300 for this, I would have expected a better quality product. The pieces themselves were not ikea cheap and did feel more sturdy but having to buy extra parts and spending so much time drilling extra holes to make it properly align made me think that $ is too much for this cart. I'm happy we got it, just not happy that we spent this much for so many flaws. Also, for the first time in my life, I seemed to get a reaction from touching certain pieces. Not the unit itself but the screws and such. It made my skin burn and I needed to wear gloves. Not sure what it is made of and my wife did not have the same reaction. It wasn't hives, just a reddening and burning sensation. This is just a warning to those considering buying this: if you need to spend time going to the hardwood store and adjusting the product to make it work, then you may consider getting something else.

This arrived very well packed in two boxes. I hired handyman to assemble. took him and his daughter who likes to assemble things exactly two hours for an organized assembly job. It seemed to proceed with ease. I like the piece although I did change out the hardware to match existing in my kitchen. This is sturdy. The top is nice but unsure if it is actually hardwood or laminate. If the goal is to add counter space and have a recyle bin handy, this works. Purchased a wastebasket from (after looking many different places) and it fit perfectly! (in fact, it is the only one that did)

This cart was exactly what we were looking for - perfect size for our small-ish kitchen, sturdy, solid construction, and easy to assemble. The "butcher block" top is not solid wood, but we didn't expect that given the price. The pull-out garbage bin is very convenient and the perfect size for kitchen scraps that cannot be composted or recycled. We are very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Final product looks fabulous. Part of the front trash cabinet was damaged but they are replacing it. Totally functional. Butcher block top is sturdy and beautiful. Took me 2 hours to put together by myself. Dimentions for a trash can need to be no bigger than 15 inches tall, 13.25 inches wide, and 10 inches deep. Bought a standard trash can at Lowe's that fit perfect. I had to put the trash can in the cabinet and then put that whole piece into the island. The trash can won't fit if you just slide it in. Sounds way more complicated than it is. So happy I bought this!

This is such a staple piece in our kitchen. It hides our trash well, as well as provides us with much need counter space. It matches our kitchen cabinets wonderfully. Plus it was a breeze to build!

Pay attention to the directions!

My advice is to take your time and really pay attention to the directions. When I got to the final step which was putting the drawers into the unit they wouldn't go in properly. I went back over all the steps to make sure I didn't do anything incorrectly only to discover that the rails that arrived already on the drawer sides were installed incorrectly at the factory!
