Nice little heater
Supplements our forced air furnace well. The small living room heats up after a while very well. Kids live to huddle around it as the furnace heats up the house. It did start making a annoying vibrating sound after a month or so. I gad to shim the plastic cover to stop it. It purrs nicely now. No idea on impact on electric bill yet. ??
The Warm Storm
Ordered online, when it came in and we plugged it in, unfortunately did not work, could have happened in transit. I called heat storm and they emailed me a form, I emailed back, 2 days later new heater. Very impressed with the customer service, very pleased with the purchase! I would recommend for a smaller space, but definitely recommend!
Toasty warm bathroom
I love this product. Hearts up my ice cold meat locker of a bathroom quickly so i can shower in comfort. Just need to get 2 more. One for my refridgerator of a bedroom and the other for my office/ greenhouse/ craft room.
This heater is painful
My mom got me this so in the winter my room could be warmer, when I installed it and plugged it in it didn’t work. I unplugged it and left it a while, about a month later I plugged it in and it actually worked. Around 5 minutes into running it started making a rattling noise then after 10 minutes of listening to this waiting for my room to get warm it completely shutdown. I now live in fear of plugging it back in and it starting a fire
Most frustrating heater I ever owned and I've owned many.
First off, the heater works as do any. Eco mode is 500 watts, high is 1000.
Great Product!
My 10 year old Sunbeam heater died, so I looked online to replace it with a new one. Turns out it isn't produced any longer, so I was forced to look at buying another heater. This heater kept coming up in my searches with great reviews, plus it was reasonably priced and wall-mountable.
Remote is worthles
The heaters heat great. The remotes are useless. If i had only bought one unit i may think it was one lone heater that was bad. My tv remote reduces the thermostat. The remotes that came with these units has to be pointed and continuously pushing and releasing the buttons to get any results at all. These should be recalled and fixed. I paid nearly 100.00 each.
Sadly Disappointed
This 1000 watt did not meet exectations. I have the Phoenix 1500 and love it. The 1000 watt fan is too loud on both high and low and it's high pitch was irritating. From the moment I plugged it in, the heater function and thermostat were 'all over the map'. I did several reboots, as per instructions, and still the thing would read one temperature one second and I'd look up and it was suddenly reading 10* higher. A few minutes later it would drop 15*. Perhaps I got a 'lemon' but I returned it and bought a 2nd Phoenix 1500. I really wish the 1000 had worked. Customer service is excellent and easy to work with-thank goodness!
Works on a timer
I was interested in a wall heater for a bathroom that could be used on a timer plugged into a GFCI outlet. Works great for that. Like how it looks and that cord is barely visible. The directions say in one location not to use in a bathroom and in another that you can. Wish the instructions would just say what issues are if it is in a bathroom i.e. probably don’t want located close to tub. Thermostat works fine and seems always at 72 (default heat setting when it comes on automatically). It makes a low whine and is quieter than my old fan heater. When it is quiet out it can be heard in next room, but during day it cannot. It operates on 1000 watts until 1 degree from set temperature then goes to 500 watts until at set temperature, then fan runs to cool down so it does seem to run for a longer time than if you just blasted with the 1500 watt heater. But it heats room without getting blazing hot which I like. Overall does exactly what I wanted which was to warm up the chilly bathroom in morning without my having to manually turn on a space heater and wait for room to heat up.
Office Heater
I have had this heater in my office for a long time and it works really well. I have it set to 70 degrees and all I can say is that I am always comfortable. It kicks on when it needs to, it turns off when it gets to the right temperature. Its quiet and doesn't take up much space. It puts out lots of heat and when I have my little 2 year old with me, I am not worried about burns because I know the grill is safe to touch because I have touched it when it is heating full blast just to make sure. There are more expensive heaters out there, and there are cheaper ones too. For the money, you can't go wrong with it. The only thing I would like to see in the future is different color options like matte black.
