pilot holes not in shelf

We like the table, we're keeping it. But it was a bit of a pain to put together because the shelf only had one pilot hole, and it was poorly/barely drilled. I also suspect that the four legs needed to be set in a particular order, as the way I installed them resulted in brackets not facing in uniform directions. Maybe this was just a one-off mistake and every other one that ships is properly drilled. Just sayin'

I was looking for a small nightstand for next to my daughters bed. We had space limitations with a max width of 14 inches. This little table was the perfect solution. I love the dimensions because it gives more surface area for my daughter to put things next to her bed.

While this might not be ultra high end quality it’s still miles above your typical MDF/particle board garbage. It solid and real wood at a great price. I got the unfinished and painted it up looks great.

Cute antique-looking narrow table w drawer.

We loved the antique / distressed look of this sweet little table. Love its narrowness and height. Perfectly placed between 2 recliners. The drawer is very handy too to stash pens or readers! We bought this and paired it with the little square table for playing cards.

I am loving this purchase. Great quality, easy to assemble and I ordered it unfinished. I plan to apply a tinted wax as soon as I decide on the best hue for my decor. The delivery was earlier than expected and I couldn’t be happier. I recommend this side table especially if space is limited.

I love these little tables, I bought 2 of them unfinished so I could stain/paint them to match my dining table and chairs. They were extremely easy to put together, it took about 10 minutes per table. Before staining them I did sand them with a fine grain sanding blocking because I've read a few reviews about them not staining properly but I sand everything before I stain it. I didn't find them about $** cheaper on another site after I finished mine, which is why I only gave them 4 stars...that was a bit disappointing. The tables themselves are great though.

Drawer/top already assembled; lovely wood.

Quality wood. Very smooth finish. Easy to assemble. SO much better than a very similar (not solid wood) version that I ordered on here last year. The drawer was already in place and you did not have to worry about whether that part fit correctly!

Very nice quality wood table. Drawer slides nicely. I stained it a driftwood gray for a coastal style and changed out the drawer knob for one that looks like aqua beach glass. I needed a narrow bedside table that wouldn't be in the way of the window. It fit perfectly. Photo later.

Okay so attaching the two front legs on this severely **** me off. The drawer wouldn't come out and it gave your hand and the ridiculously long Allen wrench very little room to maneuver. Awful. Took me forever. Later on I realized that a screw on the inside and at the very back of the drawer, that if you take it off, you can remove the drawer. Would have made it so much easier. The next problem was the bottom shelf. Although they drilled holes on the legs, they did not drill them on the shelf. And the design is such that it's supposed to be attached. So hubby drilled the holes. Once together, the unit is very attractive, extremely sturdy and once I get it stained and polyurethaned, it's going to be fantastic. It came with a wooden drawer pull that I'm going to switch out to chrome. I only gave it a 3 star due to it being difficult to assemble. But I do actually think it was worth the money.

solid wood, great for smaller spaces - well built.

I bought 2 of these. They are solid wood and great for smaller spaces. These tables are well built. They are a bit of a pain to put together or even paint as they have a stopper that prevents you from removing the drawer. I was almost in tears when trying to screw on the front legs, very tight space. Taking that into consideration would I buy them again? Yes, and would have given 5 stars if the drawer was removable. ,

Sturdy wood

It is nice sturdy wood. I like that you can stain it to whatever color you want. I don't like that you have to sand it first. It would have been easy for the manufacture to have it prepared and ready to stain or paint. Make sure to look for the "pre-drilled" holes for the shelf. Once you sand it you can barely see the holes. I upgraded the pulls to a decorative metal instead of wood. Overall they are good.

Lovely wood but had to add a piece ourselves

Lovely wood and overall good quality. One oddity however- the drawer lacks a normal piece underneath to keep it from falling out when you pull it out. Fortunately we were handy with woodworking and added one ourselves and now it works great. The quality of the item is worth it. We had to replace a piece in which the holes were not lined up well but it was easy and quick to do so.

Very sturdy and hold CPU underneath

We purchased this narrow end table to house our computer processor underneath and our scanner and speakers on the top. It fit perfectly for this need. The table is well constructed of wood, well sanded and easy to put together in 1/2 hour. The holes are predrilled and there did not appear to be a way to mix up where the legs attach. Although it appeared to be very strong we did add some wood glue.

Great Nightstand

The wood is very impressive. Sturdy. The size is really nice, narrow and deep. It fits our area perfectly. It is a great nightstand for the price. Perfect for leaving as is or painting/staining. We bought 2 of them and are very pleased.

Great piece to stain to your liking.

We've bought several pieces of unfinished furniture pieces from this brand. We have never been disappointed! The type of wood is a little different to work with as far as color of stain used, but we LOVE how ours have turned out! You can use minwax stain or chalk paint or whatever suites your needs. We once bought a desk and stained it with minwax classic gray and then stained over that with Jacobean Walnut and the end result was the most gorgeous taupe with shades of both the gray and the brown showing through. These end tables were stained with minwax gel in Ebony on the top surface (which was more dark brown), and Magnolia Shiplap chalk paint for the rest. It's difficult to find solid wood piece for this price. Typically in this price range you are stuck with veneer and/or MDF!!

This is a very nice table, perfect size for the space where I put it. A little harder to assemble, needed two people. My husband tried to put two coats of teak oil on it because the surface will be used to hold cups and glasses etc. The second coat did not absorb as nicely as the first and he had to sand the surface to remove the sheen. The color becomes a bit darker with the oil but doesn't compromise the nice wood grain look. On another table of the same material he only put one coat of oil, it looks real good and mostly absorbed evenly. Solid and sturdy but you get what you pay for...not cheap looking exactly but not a real high end look either. Fits well enough in my household. Would recommend. I actually bought 4 tables in the unfinished parawood and am mostly pleased with all of them.

Unfinished Solid Parawood Narrow End Table

Excellent material. Parawood or Rubberwood is a great material. Better than MDF or particle board. It is a hardwood that is harder than oak. It is very difficult to stain unless you bead blast or sand blast it first to remove any factory finish or other contaminants. , ,,,,,,, This end table is well designed and the wood was well finished. , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, The only concern that I had was that the instructions were extremely poor. Because of this, I had to reinstall a couple of the legs because they were not oriented correctly. You don't know this until you try to install the shelf. I had to drill pilot holes in the shelf for the shelf bracket screws. They were drilled already for the legs., ,,,,,,,,,,,, I would definitely purchase again but my wife would have had a tough time with it.
