After opening the box there was paint on the cast iron that was chipping away. Bag was full of bits and pieces. So much for heavy-duty.

Yes! A great purchase! Delivered quickly and packed well. Nice and heavy. I love that its cast iron. My hubby made what we consider an improvement by adding a metal and a Teflon washer to the pictured areas. What the washers do is stabilize the top half of the press and greatly reduces the wiggle - Happy with our purchase!
Makes perfect tortillas with 1/2 the work
I'd been making my tortillas with a rolling pin and parchment. I LOVE this press - it makes perfectly round tortillas and it SO easy to use. I highly recommend!

Prior to my purchase I was pressing tortillas with a pie pan. I like that the press made every tortilla the same size and thickness. It made it much easier to estimate the cook time. I look forward to finding many more uses for the press.
