Disposable solar cover

I bought this cover because of the price, 3 year warranty and good reviews, but after just one season of use it is ready for the trash. Approximately half of the bubbles have already deteriorated (cracking, retaining moisture and turning white). So if all you want is a disposable cover, this one is for you, but if you want one that lasts more than one season do not buy this cover!

Won’t last even 4 months in southern states

I was hoping this crappy cover would last until the end of summer but it is flaking apart, covering the surface of my pool with blue plastic debris and getting into my filter. I’m going to my local pool supply store to buy a replacement cover AND a new set of straps/clips. The water restrictions in Southern California are strict and I need to do my part. Please don’t waste your money on this cover. Buy a quality one. Pay no attention to “warranties”. No solar cover company ever honors them.

Disintegrating after 4 months use

After 4 months the surface of my pool is covered in blue circles flaking off of the cover. Don’t waste your money. Solar cover companies don’t stand by their “warranty”. If you live in So Cal, do yourself a favor and spend more to buy a quality cover at Discount Pool Mart sold in store. Pool covers won’t last more than 1-1/2 years in the harsh So Cal heat but they should last at least 1 year not 4 months.

Feels rugged, not flimsy. Does the job. You can buy more expensive & thicker covers, but experts on a pool forum I trust said they all last the same time regardless of mills, so I went cheap.

Fell Apart after 1 year

We have used the cover for 13 months and it is falling apart, tearing easily, bubbles breaking. We will have to throw it away after less than two seasons. We asked for a warranty claim and the replacement will be more than purchasing a new one. This is a rip off product and company. Get a better product and from a better company that will stand behind their product.

the cover is very thin, it feels like when i pull it out to put it on the pool it will tear, not sure how long it will last. the warranty is not very good, it only will cover if the seams come apart or if it delaminates, which is very unlikely. 16x32 8mil blue

Nice thick pool cover, our old one from HD was 6mil (Thous), always a pain to get it cut just right, but if you make it slightly larger and trim it down slowly with some holding the sheet at the other side of the pool it makes it a lot easier. Especially if the pool is kidney shaped.
