These hinges worked as specified. Really like I can fine tune my gate.

Poor manufacturer support

Hinge arrived with what appears to be a manufacturing defect. I have been trying to get Barrettes Warranty department to replace it for over one week now.

Warning requires a very large gap...

This Hing manuel states it requires a gap minimum of 7/8" to work. When trying to install on my vinyl gate i gave it 1" and was still not enough. By the end it had over an inch gap for a privacy fence With that much of a gap anyone standing within 20 feet of my door could look through it to see what was happening on the inside. Essentially nigating the whole point of installing the gate in the first place. Although heavy duty they are only useful where privacy is not required.

Poor quality control , required a 2nd order and that also had 1 hinge bracket not anyway near right angle.

I was looking for a heavy duty self closing hinge with adjustment that I could use for a custom gate I made for my pool surround. I really like the adjustability of this hinge and that it cam with some decorative covers. Nice quality hinge!

Bang for the buck good quality highly recommend

The hinges came in just fine but one latch was white instead of black as I ordered. I had to use as is since my inspection for the permit was the next day. Will probably have to buy another in black to match hinge hardware and discard the white latch Hinges are awesome.

The hinges were easy to mount and they work great. They are perfect for our large, 3' wide by 6' high, heavy wooden gate.

Great hinges that look good

They look great. They work better. Lots of adjustment available and they close the gate with just the right amount of spring.

Hung a 145lbs custom wooden gate with these. They work very well. The perfect tension. Easy to open and closes smoothly without too much force. The adjustability was easy, allowing me to dial in the gaps. The screws were of not use since I needed them to be much longer to reach the post and gate support materials.

Flimsy design

They work okay, but covers are very loose and don’t lay flat. Not a very good design. And the spring action is not easily adjustable. Overpriced with these flaws

Very good quality

Bought for a 6’x 4’ wooden gate. Very nice looking hinge especially with the hinge covers. Easy to install and adjust. Would like it if it pulled the gate closer to the fence. Close the gate great every time and don’t seem to have any issues will the weight of the gate. We used 3 hinges on our gate but only for the look, 2 he’ll the same.

Heavy Duty GATE HINGE

Easy to install and closes wide vinyl gate with a good mount of force. Had issues with another brand gate hinge closer.

No regrets
