Classic table
Table is large and classic style. Leaf makes it expandable and able to easily seat 8. It is not solid wood. Top is a MDF material. But it is still a pretty piece.
Excellent quality table
The quality of this table is high. We are very pleased with how solid the construction is. The website description and color turned out to be as advertised.
Extremely disappointing Dining Table
This is an update to my glowing review of the Hekman European Dining Table. The table was purchased in Jan 2021, on New Years Eve 2021, the table was set for a small gathering, shortly after midnight, the supports broke away from the table, the table collapsed in the center, breaking every piece of china & crystal on the table. The table carries a one year warranty which has not proven to be of much value. Overstock referred me to Hekman who has been trying to obtain a response from Overstock to no avail. Most disappointed with this purchase and in customer service at Overstock. Buyer beware. The Hekman European Legacy Dining Table is a well crafted and solidly built piece of furniture. The finish is beautiful with a slightly distressed finish. The table measures 44" x 76" which is a nice sized table and can be extended to 94" or 112" with the two leaves that come with the table. The table looks great with my vintage chairs. Very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend.
