Need extreme wind

Love the quality and beautiful sound of the chime.Everyone said needed stronger winds which we have but still not enough. The chime doesn’t go off enough because to heavy very disappointed after paying so much. Would highly recommend a smaller one. We live in a valley where the wind is very constant the way it channels through.

Beautiful sounds, well made chime. I have one so I bought one from Son and Doughter-in-law as a house warming gift and they loved it. Lots of complements. Make sure to get at least 40” long in this style.

Thus is the worst purchase I have ever made. Also beware after you complete the purchase they add a hidden top that ypundont see until you get the receipt. SCAM. The pictures of the item are deceptive and misleading. The picture and video are not the item you are getting or anywhere close. Read the fine print. This item it maybe worth a dollar and sound worse the a tin can. There give you a price of 159.99 with it slashed to 62.99 like it is a great deal. It would be if youn wee prichasing what you are looking at but this item is about 4 inches and 1 inch in diameter. Complete rip off. Guess we will see if they actually honor their 90 day return policy,or if I have to file a dispute with paypal

This product is junk.

Rich sound. Mellow. Super solid = thick metal, well made! Easily catches the slightest breeze. Clean timeless design = simple. I bought two. I get plenty of compliments on the sound and because they don't look like everything else.

if you can’t hear the sound what good is it?

The ball that is inside the bell is too big for it to hit the wall properly and loud is no good the ball needs to be or ding or you might call. It is too big it needs to be half the size and the wind catcher is round which catches no wind it should have had flat metal like wind chimes, otherwise it is no good. It looks nice but it’s not worth having.

Wow , much nicer than the picture. Heavy well made. Beautiful sound. A much have. I have a large house and large porch. I bought the biggest one, perfect.

[Rewarded Review] Unique chime

The Woodstock Chimes Heroic Windbell is a unique chime. It is solid and very well made. And it's very heavy. I was unfamiliar with this type of chime and didn't know what to expect. It reminds me of a gong when it rings. It's a low, sustained, and quiet tone. I'm used to the old school wind chime, so I think it will take some time to get use to it. It looks good and will definitely be a conversation piece wherever it is hanging.

[Rewarded Review] Sound of Chimes

This is a very sturdy built wind chime. Fit and finish are top notch. Has a rubber coated synthetic ball as a clapper with good heavy nylon braided cord to hold it. The mounting hardware is a loop and chain. It takes just a little breeze to produce very pleasant sounds that can be heard a ways off. I am ready to order more. This is an excellent well built wind chime that will last for years.

WOODSTOCK CHIMES Signature Collection, Heroic Windbell, Large, 40 in. Antique Copper Wind Bell HWLCI had it a few days ago. It was copper and 40 inches wind chime. It was heavy. I hanged it under the eaves at my deck. It looked nice and looked heavy duty copper. It moved relaxing and nice chime sounds with my hearing aids. It looked nice to hang there by itself. I do have windy breezes often here. I sat to enjoy watching it’s movement.

Should be unnecessary

I replaced the "center assembly" of my wind bell because the string broke. This is due to the windcatcher twisting in the wind over the years — the twisting of course cannot be helped, but I think it's very poor design that the whole assembly has to be fixed because of a weak string. Is there a way this could be redesigned to have some kind of a swivel joint so that the string doesn't get twisted, weakened and break over time? I've kept the old assembly so I can try to rig something that will last more than a couple of years. I gave this a few stars because it was quite easy to fix, but I think it's poor design overall.

I love my new Heroic Windbell Wind Chime! It is rather heavy. All colors were sold out except the green which is a rather soft shade of teal as opposed to a grass green color.

I am a landscaping contractor

Long time wind chimes consumer, we have three of various lengths in the yard and were looking at the baritone/bass wind chimes to extend our range. Many of the ones we want cost from $250 - $700, and we couldn't convince ourselves to go that high. Luckily, we found this wind chime. This one is GREAT. Very deep resonance, play the video it is spot on. And, it is very well constructed and HEAVY!! Takes a little more wind to activate the sound, but that is ok in our setup, where the higher register chimes catch the wind and start the noise, and the bell comes in with great timing. Will have to capture video of the results and repost. Great deal on a quality product.

First heard it's mellow voice about 15 minutes after hanging it on a sturdy hook on a large tree! Happened to be a breezy day when I received it. Heavy and solidly made. Well worth the price. I have a couple large wind chimes that take a fair breeze before I can enjoy them which makes them all the more special. I wouldn't want them to be going off constantly. I'm very happy with my purchase! Even though it is solid and heavy, I was easily able to take it a few steps up a ladder to place it on a high hook and I am a 70 year old woman! Large but not unmanageable.

Reflections on “Deep” and “Tranquility”

From the description of this wind chime, I expected the tone to be very low. As best I can tell, it is the C below Middle C. That is relatively low, but not really low. As for being tranquil: that depends on the strength of a breeze. Light breezes do indeed produce a peaceful, subtle, slightly muted tone — tranquil indeed. If the breeze is more than light, though, the chime becomes more of a clang, and the clangs are loud, so be careful how closely you hang it relative to windows, doors, and neighbors.

This bell is a joy

This bell is a joy in every way. It pleases first and most obviously in its deep, gently varied tone. Its mass means that it isn’t awakened by every small current, but rewards proper breezes off the mountains or from the sea with its rich, enveloping tolling.

Wind Bell

One word can describe this. AWFUL ! When I looked at the one in the store, it has a bigger ball with what seemed twined around it...I know as I chimed it to hear. I ordered this online, MUCH smaller ball. We have a VERY windy day today, and my normal chimes are going crazy. Not once has this junk gonged/chimed or whatever. The wind does blow the bottom piece, however the ball inside never comes within 1/2 inch of making contact or sound. Super disappointed, as this thing sounded so good in the store......it just does NOT work !
