Not Bifch!

I was informed by the company that they do not in fact sell countertops in a box made from birch. If you look at the description it will say wood type: Hevea. This item listing needs to be corrected. That being said, the Hevea countertop I received is very sturdy. The folding shelf brackets are large and great. I managed to install it on the wall and it does not budge. I can lean on the table with my elbows.

Once we figured out how to unhinge the bracket so we could screw it into the stud, all went well. Love this folding shelf!

Strong shelf, misleading instructions

Quality of this product is high. Installation is harder than it looks...you are stuck with a short socket wrench to fit the tight spacing for attaching to the wall, and it is impossible to fasten one of the wood screws to the top...no room for your fingers and no clearance hole for any kind of tool. Luckily two of the three is good enough.

We placed int in our laundry room for folding space. Can pop it up when needed and fold it down when it's not

I love this shelf. It was pretty easy to install and looks great. It's quite sturdy, and when it folds down, it barely takes up any space. I was initially concerned because the first time I folded it down, it didn't lay completely flat. You have to give it a little extra push to lay flat. Between the shelf and the brackets, it only sticks out about 2.5 inches from the wall when folded. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely love this in my laundry room. I have it up when I want to fold clothes. It is easy to use. It did take 2 people to assemble to the wall due to the weight but super easy to get it out of the box and start working!

I have looked at this item for a long time. Using it in my kitchen under a window as a little seating are for my family and guests. Very easy to install and very strong. Love being able to get a little more open feel by folding it down against the wall.

Sturdy!

I bought two and we mounted them one above the other and slightly offset. That lets me sit on the end of the lower shelf to take off my boots even if the upper shelf is in the up (open) position. Good hardware and a good price.

Yes. Some of the manufacturer provided screws did break while installing but that’s really not a big deal in the big picture.
