I REALLY LIKE THIS CHAIR STURDY

only buy this chair if you are TALL

This is the highest quality chair I've ever bought - I never went above $*** for a chair before, and the difference in construction with this one definitely shows. That said, I am only 5'6", and the seat of the chair is SO DEEP (23" deep, to be exact) that when my back touches the back of the seat at all, my feet don't touch the floor. I am around the 275lb weight limit for most other office chairs on the market, and I sit at my computer 10+ hours a day working from home, so I wanted a chair that would really stand up to my weight, since with my previous chair the height adjusting mechanism broke after only a year of use. Well, this chair is simply not a good option if you aren't actually tall - aside from the questionable posture trying to reach the keyboard when sitting that far back, it's difficult to climb onto and get off the chair with a seat that deep, plus the seat digs into my calves. It might be somewhat better if the back of the chair was more perpendicular, but I can't adjust the tilt mechanism on this chair at all, it's not turning in either direction, and for that I am deducting a star. The chair also takes up a lot of real estate, which I guess I should have expected from a "big and tall" chair, but it just doesn't look right in my small office space - it's really much bulkier than a regular office chair.

Since there are no other reviews anywhere online....I gave it 4 stars because I literally just finished putting this together..took about 30 mins alone. I'm 5'6" and over 300 lbs, but I did a lot of research on how to measure yourself for a chair and the space between the seat and the back of your knees---that's why I ordered this one. Pretty comfy so far, but you just place the seat on top of the base, so it's a little wiggly; but maybe that's intentional so it can hold a higher weight, i don't know. Just not used to a chair doing that. The instructions were like ikea--no words, just pictures, but pretty decent to follow if you've put stuff together before. Going to look more into the chair wiggling/movement side to side and see if it was my error or just how it is. It's a decent chair, and if you have wide hips/butt/thighs, it's comfy
