[Rewarded Review] Well designed and structurally rock solid

I was surprised to find the precision cuts of all the materials. All the pieces connected perfectly. I love that the building is rock solid. It’s not a cheap shed.

I am a licensed contractor and had the help of another contractor to build this Highland Shed. For the record the materials are quality and I appreciate the pre-cut materials. I did not have time to build my own shed from scratch after moving into a new home.

Shed designed by non-contractors

To start this off, delivery was challenging. Home Depot said it would be delivered on the 4th of November. The Handy-Home company said the 8th of November. Some random guy in a truck and trailer delivered it on October 31. Was not ready for it. The shed is a decent quality, but made with 2x3 studs and truly was designed by people that have never actually built anything before. It defies logic. As a former Contractor this was more challenging than it should have been.

Backyard Products -Horrible Delivery communication

Material cheap. Delivery communication terrible. Postponed last min via text. When called they assured delivery on orig date, it was not. Postponed again for 2 wks, no further communication. Called 3x. Finally delivered, guy didn't even ring doorbell, slid it off a trailer onto street, in front blocking my mailbox. Happened to notice him, asked if not block mailbox, he was very rude, said that's what they told him to do, "just drop it in the street". He couldn't move it away from mailbox.

We purchased the shed to replace an old weathered metal shed. The kit was simple to navigate and instructions easy to understand. We built the shed and painted it all in one weekend.

Spacious and solid shed where I could settle a workshop for the yard and my bikes. Sliding doors would have been great to minimize the clearance needed in the front.

Decided to not buy after questions were answered

After learning that the Handy Home Products small square shed window would not fit between the wall studs, reading customer reviews about warped timber, and not being able to preview the assembly instructions on line, I decided not to buy this shed.

[Rewarded Review] Solid Shed for The money

I bought this just over a month ago and have been happy. The instructions for assembly were overall good but it would have been nice to see more close ups of the unique angled pieces and unique parts that have to be used or go together. Sometimes it was hard to see the parts. Also thought it would have been nice for the screws and nails in the plastic bags to be labeled so you knew what length they were. They were just dumped in the bags with no markings. Also thought using more screws rather than nails would be easier than happening so many nails with a hammer. Thought it could use one more support board for underneath the floor plywood as well. But, now that it is together, I am very happy.

All parts accounted for and well organized in the bundle. Directions are decent - follow the measurements and placement of pieces as shown. One thing that would be helpful is to have a temporary brace the same width as the door frame to keep the front frame square as you secure it to the floor.

all parts were there dyi,the thing i most disliked about the whole delivery process,theyleft shed on curbside on the street,they would not, leave on driveway,as instructed,never again will i have frieght shippent,this was hard to move to my garage,i had havetwo extra help,since I'm elderly with disability limited to lifting

Buyer beware/ False advertising

I purchased this shed because I really like the transom window advertised here in the photo. This was the feature I was specifically looking for. Buyer beware! This shed does not actually come with this window! It comes with 2 plain window panes.

I bought this because I wanted a small and contemporary shed for my backyard. It came in a convenient package which was loaded professionally by my local Home Depot. I was 100% complete with easy to read and follow instructions.

The repeated shipping delays were extremely frustrating. Multiple times we were scheduled for a delivery and it got punted. Each time costed me money and leave for missing work. Worse though, I set up help to move it to the backyard on the scheduled delivery days. Once it arrived and was assembled it’s a good product. Without the shipping issues, I would recommend the product

Just had the shed installed. Shed itself is alright. It is functional and looks nice. Sone gaps..not sure if the shed or the installers. Overall, satisfied. The installers showed up 3 weeks before shed delivery so i didnt have pad ready. Shed not level, so i leveled it. Installers left cigarette butts and garbage, which i had to clean up... nails point through inside, i took care of before someone was impaled. Shed appears ok, but i would keep an eye on the installers. My dad passed away so i wasnt able to be there that day to watch them. Wish i knew when they were going to show up.

A Very Sturdy Shed

Shipping and packing were a breeze. Was it easy to build? I'm not a carpenter but I managed. Did it take long to build? I was mostly by myself and it took about 2 weeks, and that was working part time on it. Is it sturdy? Yes, very. Also quite heavy - gravity will keep it in place. Were all the pieces there? Yes. Were they all perfect? No but close enough that it worked. How were the directions? Take it slow and careful and it'll work. What made the least amount of sense? The base support. What was the hardest? The roof. Nothing about it was easy. I drilled the screw holes in the wrong place a few times, leading to holes that will leak, so I ended up buying a tar-like roof sealant on all of the screw holes. It should be fine. Best tip? Use a nail gun, rather than hammering nails, for all of the trim pieces. All in all, a complete amateur like me was able to build this sturdy, good-looking shed.
