For the price, these are awesome.

Took me less than 30 minutes to unbox and assemble. Now I do have a woodshop and experience so maybe it’ll take you a bit longer but when a fully custom barn door costs Anywhere from $1500-$5000 I don’t know why anyone would complain for a $300 door.

Many of the pieces did not fit as snug and some of the cross bar slats had a little warpage. Also the overall door is somewhat flimsy

The worst product I've purchased at Home Depot

The manufacturer doesn't ship these with any styrofoam, just the thinest layer of bubble wrap that does nothing to protect the boards. Both doors I ordered had side panel damage. You CAN NOT blame this on UPS, because the shipping box looked like every other box I get. The middle panel boards are warped. The front panels use screws that splinter and crack the wood, even if you drill a pilot hole, and the screw heads are exposed. I needed a 28" door, and sadly, this garbage was the only option.

Interior barn doors

We already bought 6 of these doors for our home. They are beautiful. We opted for a no gloss clear coat to keep it natural looking on the finish. I like that you can design how you want the front to look. We opted to just have the one board straight across the middle. My builder was able to take the extra wood pieces ( we had a lot with 6 doors) he made a small barn door for our kitchen counter top. I would recommend these doors.

worth the buy! i recommend it.

excellent door! It took 2 coats of paint and touch ups to paint the door. The wood tends to absorb the paint.

Good, just quirky

The door looks very nice and sturdy. The decorative pieces either fit or don’t depending on how tight you made the panels.

The door is cheap

The wood this door is made of is very cheap and soft. Some of pieces were cracked and warp out of the box. The mortise and tenon joint are not perfect and may take some modification to fit together properly. The door could not be assembled with a rubber mallet as instructed. I had to use rachets straps and clamps to pull the warp pieces together. Be careful when assembling this door. It is easy to damage.

Barn Door - Unfinished - No hardware

We decided based on reviews to buy the door and hardware separate. Not sure if hardware comes with the more expensive door. This is not a project for an amateur. Lowes contactor, Rodney Carpentry, did an excellent job of putting the door together and installing. We like the unfinished look but will probably paint at some future date.

Extremely disappointed as the description says they come fully assembled. They do not. Thus, I am still without my barn door project until I find someone that can assemble it's not working.

The door looks beautiful in our tiny house/park model home. It can cover the pantry or the door into our bedroom. It was the perfect solution in a small space.

1 inch rack on left board frame.got a little bigger when I tapped the cross beam in. All in all, minor stuff. Looks nice. Didn’t know it was a kit. Also, to me saying door slab with frame says it comes with additional frame. Better to say framed door. May get another for another project. Moves easily on the rail!

The wood was cheap and full of flaws, glue and putty. No one knew it had to be assembled either. I returned it.

I was hesitant to purchase the 2 barndoors when I found out they were unassembled. Putting them together was actually pretty easy if you read through the instructions first and then layer it out. Just a peer screwdriver and mallet was all it took ok. Extremely happy with the results. Would highly recommend for the price and quality.

1 out of 3

I ordered three doors the 34” I had to remove all foam dowels to get it together with a tight fit. The 38” went together with no issues. The 36” must have been made by someone who didn’t know how to use a tape measure or didn’t check the saw to make sure the cuts were correct, even after removing the foam dowels the frame still would not go together tight, warped tongue and groove panels, ended up the starter and finish panels were 3/16 of an inch too wide, a total of 3/8 of an inch. Just where was quality control or is there any quality control. All three doors had to be glued due to splitting edges at the top and bottom. This is not the type of quality I expected from Home Depot i have a commercial account and if this quality is acceptable then a different vendor is needed. If you plan on using as a classic type door you waste money on cheap accessories that you end up throwing away. I will think twice before ordering these doors again for doors that should take less than 30 minutes to put together no one should have to refabricate and find the issues the factory missed.

Good quality. I'm going to adapt it to make a screen door. Many adaptations possible.
