Beware of Inflated Reviews! Useless machine!
It is large and annoying and incompetent. Tested it with a working hygrometer. I used my small handheld hygrometer after it correctly registered the high humidity in of a hot shower. This humidifier registers at 17% to 25% higher than my little hygrometer. It uses an auto off feature exclusively and cannot be kept running if it thinks it has reached 69%. Thus, it cannot be operated long enough to reach even 54% actual humidity (when measured directly above.) And worse still when it reaches what it thinks is 69%, it starts cycling on and off repeatedly at a disturbing fast pace, 5 seconds on/off. Cannot sleep with that going on! I will be going back to a simpler “dumb” machine so I can decide when to shut off my humidifier based on my trusty little $9 hygrometer. Beautiful tank design but that’s irrelevant. Photos did not help me see how large this would be.
[Rewarded Review] Very sensitive and continually turns on and turns off
I liked that this was a large unit that would humidify a large room. My husband and I were frustrated by this product as it is very sensitive when you set the humidity temperature. It regularly turns on for one or two seconds and then turns off for one or two seconds and does that repeatedly. There needs to be a little bit better programming on that aspect. Otherwise it worked great.
[Rewarded Review] Quiet and effective.
Honeywell Top Fill Tower Humidifier is a convenient solution to keeping a larger room well humidified. It is tall with a large tank, but it has a relatively small footprint so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Filling is simple with the open-top design, I just use my plant watering can to top it up. It doesn’t give off any visible mist or make anything around it damp. The filter seems to be effective at just allowing it to output clean, humid air. Replacing the filter/wick is easy, but I haven’t had to do so yet. Cleaning and maintenance is straightforward and simple. The fan is a bit noisy on high, but on low I don’t even notice it so it is suitable for my bedroom. The controls on the top are easy to use. About the only thing I wish it had was the ability to dim the display, as it is rather bright. Overall, it does a good job at maintaining my room at a good humidity level and is low maintenance. I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review.
[Rewarded Review] Quiet as can be!
The Honeywell Tower Humidifier has been great for our home! We have had small clunky humidifiers off and on that build up gunk and are very annoying to clean. This model has a filter that you can replace and takes out the work. No more nightly filling the tank as the tank on this is large and lasts for days! The machine is quiet as can be and doesn’t have steam constantly coming out. It’s nice that you can even pick the intensity you want it to work at! We got it in right around the time it started to get cold and our baby was sick, it’s been a blessing. I will give one negative that the filter went bad fairly quickly but they were fairly can cheap on Amazon (20 for 6 filters).
[Rewarded Review] Easy to use
This has become such an incredible addition to our home. With the sick season upon us, this has become a life saver. Keeps the air at a perfect humidity. Super easy to follow instructions. Filling it up is a breeze, even for the kiddos. We used it once in just our bedroom, but it was so powerful we ended up just using it in our living room, and it literally helps the entire house. I know this because we have humid detectors on our alarm clocks in each room. I haven't been waking up with a dry cough anymore, and it's been wonderful. Very quiet and efficient. Looks very nice as well.
[Rewarded Review] No Wet Floors!
Honeywell Top Fill Cool Moisture Tower Humidifier is perfect for anyone’s home. I was offered this product for an honest review. This is an easy to fill tower that stands about 25 inches tall. The tank can be taken to the sink to refill or just pour water into the tank from a pitcher. The tank holds 1.7 gallons. The programmable LED digital buttons are easy to read on the top of the machine. You can control the 3 speed fan, choose the percentage of moisture you want in the air, and set how long you want it to run. This machine cuts itself off when empty. The humidifier has a light to tell you to check the filter and one that tells you when to refill the water. You do have to replace the filters and may want to use something to protect against bacteria if you do not use distilled water. This is an excellent humidifier with no mist or dust accumulation. Perfect for dry eyes! We love ours.
[Rewarded Review] Tower Humidifier
This tower style humidifier is great for living room. It is easy to refill and can see how much water it still has. It contains Wicking Filter that captures minerals from the water and helps prevent the buildup of White dust. The humidifier uses Protec Humidifier Cleansing Balls to prevent
[Rewarded Review] Don’t feel dry and ashy
It’s been a little hard to accurately review this in my time allotted. Humidifiers seem to be made for cooler weather, and when the air is dry. Where I am located it’s been the opposite, mostly.
[Rewarded Review] Effective product!
Great humidifier! It’s super quiet, a great size, easy to use, and very helpful. I use spring water in my humidifiers, because hard water can cause buildup. Has an automatic sensor that adjusts when desired humidity level is reached. It’s super easy to fill! Has helped immensely with a recent bad cough and my husbands asthma.
[Rewarded Review] Lots of features in a slim profile, quiet unit
This is a tower based humidifier which is great for larger spaces. You will not see the moisture coming off the unit and it's cool moisture only. Love the fact that it has two ways to fill and the tank is large enough to make cleaning a breeze. This does require a filter to prevent the white dust if you have hard water. The filters can be purchased at Amazon and other big box retailers. The top of the unit has the buttons for operation with a preset timer for 4,8 and up to 12 hours, up and down navigation to select the desired humidity level. The unit will shut off the fan when the desired humidity is reached. Fan buttons to control the speeds for either low, medium or high. I found at the high speed the fan's motor was very quiet.
[Rewarded Review] Best humidifier ever!
I absolutely love this humidifier! The maintenance and setup is easy and the design is brilliant! I typically use a humidifier at night time and it is such a pain to fill up all the time however, this one only requires me to refill the tank once a week. It keeps the room cool, not too loud, and I love it detects the natural humidity of the room and adjusts accordingly.
read this before buying
I bought this humidifier to replace an ultrasonic unit because I got tired of the white dust and buying distilled water. This unit does alleviate those problems but does not work as well. Most of the issues seem to be with the humistat not reading anywhere near correct. FIrst I had an issue with it not turning off when it reached target humidity. It would just cycle on and off for 3 seconds at a time. The fan is a bit noisy so having it turn on and off every 3 seconds became extremely annoying very quickly. Now however, the humidistat reads about 20% lower than actual room humidty and just never shuts off, even when the actual room humidity is well past where I have it set. I have tried to contact support twice and received no response at all. I guess I will return the unit and look for something else.
Runs Great But My Resevoir SHATTERED!
I purchased this item almost a full month ago. Easy setup, fantastic design, convenient and only needs a daily fill! The problem? My reservoir SHATTERED while it was being filled today. We accidentally left the water on hot but weve NEVER had a problem with that. Please be cautious when filling as this is a really big issue if it can simply break from that! The filters also are slow with absorbing so keep an eye out for mold-
Workhorse
I’ve had this humidifier for at least four years. I’m having to replace it because k dropped the tank and it broke. And I decided to buy another of this model because I love it so much. This thing is a beast. It works well in super dry Colorado. I’ve never had any issues with leaking. The only drawback is the filters are very expensive and I have hard water so I have to replace them a lot, but I usually buy third party ones and most of them work well.
More form than function
It is a nice looking unit and does not take as much space as other evaprotive type but its output is very poor. I ran it for 10 hours and it only output about 1/2 gallon. It is quite but the medium and high setting do not seem to be that much different. The unit simple cannot move enough air required to increase the humidity very much. I did test the wattage usage and it is low. It might be right for you if you want to put it in a small bedroom and do not want to use the utrasonic type which can release mineral/bacteria into the air. The low setting is quite enough for a bedroom.
Nice quiet unit
i have forced hot air heating. Everything is DRY. I also have dry eye syndrome. I run the humidifier 24/7, full blast. My dry eye has improved as well as my dry skin. The auto shut off for when it runs out of water gives me peace of mind. The water tank is 1.7 gallons. I fill one gallon in the morning and one gallon before bed. The 1.7 tank on full blast does not last a full 24 hours.
0 STARS!
Don’t waste your money on this “humidifier”. I had high hopes for this product given its price and overall look. The product almost always turns off at random times claiming that the humidity level has been reached (2 other humidity meters in the same room show it to be very dry in the room). Other times the machine will run for hours and hours and I will not notice any change in the amount of water in the reservoir at all. The water reservoir is open and exposed, leaving the stagnant water to become a breeding ground for bacteria and potential pests (mosquitoes, gnats, etc). I bought a much better humidifier on Amazon for 20 bucks.
Perfect humidifier for sinus sufferers!
I have chronic sinusitis and this humidifier works great and helps alleviate most of my sinus issues! I love that it has a humidistat. I read other reviews that mentioned it leaks from the bottom. I have NOT had that issue. You need to make sure you install the float paddle correctly! It even says that in the instruction manual that if the float paddle isn’t correctly installed it will leak from the bottom! So easy! I also love how compact it is. This is a great humidifier!
Solid, well-designed unit!
We have four of these throughout our home, we live on three floors, and we absolutely love them. I had returned several ultrasonic humidifiers that were an absolute nightmare, besides leaking they left the notorious white dust all over the house. We've had these for over two years and not a single leaks. Ours run continuously, we simply add a bacteriostat and refill. I love the ease of use and the filters last a long time too, even with all the hard water in AZ. We soak out filters in vinegar every 4 weeks to remove the hard water deposits. Works like a charm to renew and refresh the filters! Very well-made product by Honeywell. A few review complain of leaks. If you follow the instructions this unit will not leak. In 2 years we haven't had a single leak from our units.
Base of Humidifier Not Water Tight, Leaked All Over
Worked for one day, less than 24 hours. Really liked it at first. Set up very easily and it ran fine. Felt a difference in the room air within an hour. Next day, went to fill tank with more water. Did it exactly the same way as before, exactly as directions tell you. Turned it on to run, and water began leaking out of the bottom of the base of humidifier, not the tank, directly pooling on the floor! I had walked out of the room for a moment and came back, had to immediately shut it off and mop up a huge pool of water. Tried to re position and even emptied some tank water, thinking maybe I did something wrong. No. Upon turning on, it again leaked from the underside of the base and water began appearing from underneath the base and all over my floor. Nothing we did seemed to fix this issue. It immediately just leaks from the base itself, not the tank. It's as if the base isn't fully sealed and water tight. Extremely disappointing and required A LOT of cleanup. Target did accept the return and refunded us without any question, so that was the only upside.
