T6 Pro Z-Wave - 3 Years and Going Strong

The Z-Wave version came with our newly built house in May of 2021. We have never had any issues, it works perfectly. Originally it was controlled remotely through our Quolsys IQ2 panel. We have recently switched to a Hubitat C-8 Home Automation Hub and it works great with that as well. I've replaced the batteries once in the 3 years. Highly recommend!

I'm very pleased with this

We use this with Home Assistant. It works really well. I love that you can set the Cycles Per Hour, a feature sorely missing from most thermostats. It does everything I want it to. More products should be this versatile.

Great thermostat but why dont they sell direct?

It is a great thermostat but there is no good reason they wont sell them directly to customers. You don't need to be a pro to install a thermostat and this one is no exception.

High function device that can only be programmed by a pro for usage in a smart home. Thus need to pay monthly service fees or a technician to setup. If using as non connected device then over paying. If you capability high costs for fees.

Very good Z-Wave thermostat

I replaced a Honeywell WiFi thermostat with this because of the periodic unreliability of their cloud network - they do not offer local control of the thermostat beyond the physical controls so everything else goes through their cloud and it seems to throw errors and be partially or completely down at regular intervals - every week or two. (no, it is not me) After the last glitch I decided I wanted local control with a different non-WiFi product.

My new building claimed to be smart home and came with this until I realized that it is a mess and I am looking to replace it right now

Zwave is awesome!

I've had this for about 4-years and it is connected to my ClimateMaster geothermal system. I love it and have had no problems. It integrated easily with my Homeseer controller.

Lasted 15 months!

This thermostat was installed in my new-build home and worked great for 15 months...until yesterday morning when it suddenly provided the notification on the screen "REPLACE ME". This thermostat is located in a hallway which I do not utilize much, so I thought maybe it was telling me to replace the batteries (which I had previously done after 6-8 months, I believe) and I had missed a "battery low" notification. Replaced the batteries and it didn't fix the issue.

Schedule Won't Work Once Connected to Z-wave Hub

Once connected to my ZWave hub, the thermostat would no longer run its programming. This is explained in the manual on p. 12. I either can control it from the hub or program it, but not both. I would prefer a WiFi app from which the thermostat can be programmed thru the app and from the unit itself. Giving total command to the ZWave hub is not desirable to me.
