Outstanding thermostat!!

Works great!! I changed the preset schedule to match mine and I'm very happy with it. Controls my electric baseboard heat perfectly. I really like that it only provides enough current to the heating unit as needed to maintain the temperature.

I would buy again...

This is the real deal.

This is the real deal, and about half of what some others charge. I've had one of these in my bedroom for over 10 years; it's nice to get in bed in a warm room, but we keep it set really low during the day. I installed this in our vacation condo, and it works just as well, plus it has newer features (daylight-savings time, etc.)

Makes a buzzing or humming sound when off

This seems to work ok, but it makes a buzzing or humming sound when it is turned off. It doesn't make the sound all the time, but enough to be annoying. Maybe it wouldn't bother some people. I saw another reviewer said this is a characteristic of the DPST design.

I liked how the thermostat was easy to hook up and was not to difficult to program, but the internal temperature sensor was bad so i ordered another one to see if it is better. If not i will go a different route.

This unit replaced a new install of a Cadet Line Voltage thermostat. The Honeywell unit is a lot more user friendly than the Cadet thermostat. It is an easy installation. After reading instructions the user interface is very clear. Functions very well. It also looks nice on the wall.
