Perfect Book Light

I love this book light so much that I’ve bought a few for gifts. I really dislike harsh LED lights, so I appreciate how warm this light is. It also has 3 settings, which comes in handy when it’s bedtime and I want to wind down. It’s rechargeable and very durable. Mine is going on 3 years now after daily use.

ideal night reading light

The three color modes make this the best light i have found. Exactly what i was looking for. The step-less brightness adjustment is nice too. Would be nice if the base were a little wider for occasional use as a mini desk light but not a big deal. I use this light every night.

After an extremely long wait, I finally received this product only to find it is not as advertised. In no way would I describe this light as “amber” and appears to be a cheap knockoff of what is actually listed here. Would recommend you look elsewhere.

The muted, amber colored light had three brightness settings. It is perfect if you like to read in bed for your own eyes and to not disturb anyone else. This kind of light should be the standard.

Perfect for Before-Bed Reading and Journaling

I needed a reading light and had just purchased a grounding mat from Hooga health. After looking on the website, I hadn't even considered getting a reading light without the harmful blue spectrum! Genius. I bought it right away. So far it works great, and I'm glad I purchased the amber and red one because the setting I use most often is the Red/Amber combo. Charge seems to last forever. Works perfect with paperback novels and my hardback journal. Would highly recommend!

Highly highly recommend.

I love this light. It's the second one I've purchased because my kids commandeered the first. The no-blue light is amazing. You don't really notice it when you're using it, but when you put it down, every light you see for the first few minutes looks as blue as the sky even if you didn't think there was any blue there to begin with. I was shocked at first, but it does make sense. If my eyes think they're seeing blue but there is none, then they will amplify the blue elsewhere just like turning the overhead lights on when your eyes have adjusted to the dark. It's a testament to how good this light's frequency is. And reading is very clear. There is no problem seeing the print even at the low setting. Also, I can get just as tired reading as I do without reading at all. No blue means to interference with my circadian rhythm. Finally, I have yet to run the battery down. I don't keep track at all of when I charge it. The longevity of the battery is excellent, whatever the true duration actually is.

Absolutely love my Hooga book light

If you’re a bookworm who loves to read at night and trying to be more conscious of blocking blue light exposure in the evening I highly recommend this clip on light. Excellent quality and easy to recharge. I love that it has three brightness settings. You can even place the base in front of you on a desk or behind you on a headboard like a mini lamp! I’ll be gifting these for sure.

Awesome Little Lamp

I love this lamp. I own two of them now. You can clip it on a book or stand it free on a surface. The neck is just the right length and has the right flexibility to be able to direct the light where you need it. And I really appreciate having a light that does not have blue light in it. Last but not least: it's not very expensive.

Great balance of features

Bought several of these as gifts. Recipients are very happy with the balance between size/weight, sturdiness, and functionality (variable light color, variable brightness)

It was a gift for my daughter. She likes the light. It was a bit more expensive directly from Hooga and but came sooner than Amazon.

Goes dead way too fast

I like the light but I’ve barely used it and it’s dead. I thought maybe the button got hit (it turns on really easily and needs a carry case for luggage etc which is a pain) but my wife’s just died too. I tucked hers away nicely to ensure it was inadvertently turned on so I know that didn’t happen. she’s only had her’s for a month. Batteries are way too expensive to replace this frequently. This is a real shame.

Overall good product

The light is smaller than I expected but the clip to clip it on the book is large. It may tear paperbacks. The light is just enough for reading. So far it is a good reading light.

ideal for any kind of nighttime reading

This light is so perfect for nighttime reading and not disturbing my partner or my dog. It also doesn't keep me up and helps me wind down while reading before bed. Also is great on planes without having to turn on the big overhead light and disturb your seatmates.

So comfortable. Really helps with my ankle pain. Perfect for around the house and after workouts. I bought them to wear as slippers since my slippers had no support, and working from home involves a lot of walking around the house, so my podiatrist recommended always wearing supportive shoes. The 9 fit well (I wear 8.5 normally), but if you're a 9 in all other shoes, you may want to size up.

I love my little reading light! I often wake up in the night, and like to read myself back to sleep. The hooga light lets me do that without disturbing my husband and without exposing me to blue light that would wake up my brain. Sweet little light at a great price! Highly recommend!

Happy I bought this

A very snazzy booklight! The amber color is easier on the eyes compared to my other reading light and it overall feels more high-end – It can even stand on it's own. However, the light uses micro-USB which is rare to see nowadays (phones etc using USB-C) and can be a bit of a problem if you lose the original charger included in the package. The other small thing I don't like is how loud the clicking is when you turn the light on. These are just minor issues, though :)

Reading lite - blue/yellow

Love it. Only a bit awkward to set up in the right place on a magazine. Must find support near the stapled middle of the magazine or use a sturdy piece of cardboard, close to the size of the magazine to grip onto works perfectly. In bed I clamp it to my lamp shade also just to facilitate my own reading sitting up in bed. Never disturbs my husband. Really makes easy to read longer now. Great work & great price Hooga! For me personally I would love the length of the light to be 3 to 4 inches longer but also know that is just me for “my own” personal preferences. Thanks again, from Florida, Hooga. Kaytee.

Love this reading light

I'm a nighttime reader, bought this for reading in bed. It's so perfect. As someone who spends all day looking at screens for work, it's nice to have a relaxing amber light for my books. After buying myself one, I've gone back to buy more to gift to people.

Great light, sturdy

I love this light! The clip is very strong and easy to use. The light it casts is even and spreads pretty much across the page. I like that there are three strengths--I usually use the lowest setting. I use this light a lot for those middle of the night wake ups with the kids. It's gentle glow let's us all fall asleep more quickly.
