House of Troy Advent 2 Desk Lamp is well worth it !!!

The lamp is made of steel and is very sturdy !! Perfect for my desk . It also has a wonderful long electrical cord so no extension cord necessary !!!

Simple and Clean

The lamp arrived just in time, as I had just purchased a new piano. Needed something simple and clean in line and one that sufficiently illuminated my music. This one fit the bill. It is nearly completely unobtrusive and does the job perfectly. Packaging was good. No nicks, no scratches. I'll take it from here!

Too Small, Flimsy

Bought this for a baby grand piano and it isn't remotely big enough. Not tall enough to reach over the music. Putting the bulb in was very difficult as the lamp space is so narrow and the socket is very flimsy. It took several tries to get the bulb in squarely and I almost couldn't remove it, was worried I would shatter it in the socket. I wish I'd set it on the piano before I tried the bulb because I would have seen immediately it was too small. It's a nice looking lamp and the base and flexible neck seem sturdy. Fingerprints will definitely show on the black finish. Must return.

Good quality for the price

I purchased the piano lamp in black and it looks great on top my piano. I was worried it would look cheap considering it was reasonably priced but it doesn't. My two issues were that it took forever to ship and it didn't come with a bulb. The bulb is a specialty type and I should've brought the lamp with me to the store so I didn't buy the wrong bulb the first time. Other than that, good quality for the price.

Nice

I really liked the lamp... But I thought that I was buying an american product made in Vermont. With all the blah-blah, the pseudo "made in Vermont" about House of Troy on their website ...So I was a little surprised to read on the box the big letters saying"made in China". I felt that I paid the tag for an american price... but made in China. I am fine with so many products come China, but I don't like when american companies pretend to have it made it in here.

Piano Lamp

I have a spinet piano. This lamp is exactly as pictured on your site and exactly what i wanted. It fits very well on top of my piano. The base is heavy so no danger of it falling over. I'm very happy with it. I no longer have to have a big, bold lamp over my piano! The light from this lamp covers entire open piano book pages. There is no glare from the lamp in my eyes.

Nice lamp for the money

I saw this lamp in a local store for almost twice the price that I paid at Lighting Direct--so a great value!

Great Product!!

Product arrived in great condition. Beautiful on my Yamaha upright piano, just fit, and uses every day for a month now, and my daughter loves it! Plus, the price is great compared to other piano lamps at this quality. Highly recommend!

Great Lamp needs a different bulb

The lamp is beautiful, just like the other House of Troy wall lamp I purchased from you; beautful brass finish, excellent quality. Its only drawback is that the 40 watt tube bulb throws a lot of heat and is uncomfortable for the pianist. If I lift the shade up, the bulb glares and is distracting. A cool-light bulb would be the solution, but I have not found one. I do still love the lamp!

Purchased this piano lamp after extensive deliberation and research. It certainly fills my needs. Of particular note is its weight. Well-built to be a sturdy light source as the piano is being played.
