Fairly easy to put together. Some of the shells pulled through the fishing line that held them together, but easy to fix. Not something you would want around little kiddos or the shells will be pulled down in short order. Also, if in an area with a ceiling fan, they shells sound like a wind chime.

Retro Lamp with Shells

I love this shell lamp. It stands out in a room as a gem. It is bright and therefore no other lights need to be on. I’ve had positive comments about the uniqueness of it. I highly recommend the lamp, and put it in a spot that it is suited for. Cathy.

I returned this item via UPS and got charged again

I just got an email stating that my credit card was charged again even though I returned the item with in 3 days of delivery. I also called to confirm that the light was received. I now have to dispute this with my credit card. Please go through your files and correct this. Thanks.

I bought 2 lamps for the same room. one has shell length of 54 inches and the other lamp has shell length of 59 inches. When I requested matching lengths, the request was denied. also had broken hooks and shells. You'll be on your own to either fix or send back... and it's a lot to pack back up! I will not be ordering again from Overstock.

SAFAVIEH Illumina 3-light Capiz Floor Lamp

This is a really beautiful lamp. It adds a bit of sparkle to a room without being too over-the-top "glam," and lends a "beachy" look due to the capiz shell finish. I like that the metal is silver colored. Very pretty lamp, may have to buy a second one!

I would buy again

The lamp came well packaged and all the parts and light bulbs was included. You have to hang every row of shells but they already come on a string. It's very pretty and bright. It makes a very nice sound when you touch the shells together.

Beautiful lamp with brilliant lighting

love it, always wanted this type of lamp in my house. it really lights up my foyer, very pretty. I got a lot of compliments on it already. It is also made very sturdy, it is nice and heavy. Feels and looks substantial and not flimsy at all.

Lotta work but gorgeous!

I really wanted to be able to give this 5 stars because it's absolutely beautiful! However, the following are some issues that I had: 1. I had directions for a table top lamp! Had to get the floor lamp directions offline. :[ 2. The base does not lay completely flat. I'm frustrated because theres no way possible that I could fit this all back into the box that it came in, to return, in hopes of having a base that doesn't wobble or make my lamp appear crooked! :( :( :( 3. Did I mention you have to put all of this together? LOL The top piece in which all of the shells hang from, has nothing in the instructions about which side is the top & which is the bottom. There's a metal cross piece on one side only & you have no clue whether that's supposed to go on the bottom or the top. Well, I believe NOW, it's supposed to go on the bottom side but that's just too bad for me because I'm not starting over! :( 4. The hooks on the 27 strands of shell, suck! No, seriously! They suck! I felt as if I've completed a marathon after I put this together, both in level of difficulty as well as in accomplishment! I don't know why they did not put a more simplified hook on these?! :( :( 5. 2 bulbs face upward... one faces downward. The bottom one faces downward... it would make more sense if the middle faced downward, no?! :[ 6. Packing/unboxing = marathon workout + it will look like it snowed in your home! :( :( 7. Wish I could choose to turn on 1, 2, or 3 of the lights...a lighter glow at times, would be nice. :[ 8. If I could repack it... now that it's together... I'd still keep it in spite of all of the above, because it's GORGEOUS! :) I do feel that I should get a discount for the bad base!!!

This lamp gives my new reading nook a touch of elegance. I was concerned it might look cheap or cheesy, but it's quite beautiful, especially when lit. Very easy to assemble. I had a few hooks that had a tiny bit of rust, but I put those toward the back, and they are not noticeable at all.
