Great rain barrel! Very sturdy.

This is a very solid rail barrel. It has upper and lower spigots for quick and easy draining, or to connect a garden hose to in order to take advantage of the free rain water. The intake of the rain barrel has a hard plastic screen to keep mosquitos and small rodents away from the water and provides an additional filter for leaves and other contaminants. The rain barrel provides all hardware necessary, which can be found inside the rain barrel, and is accessed by unscrewing the intake screen and removing them. Using one Phillips Head screwdriver are all the tools you will need.

Been watering since the last rain of last season to the first rain of this season. A great idea for areas like mine with expensive water.

Beware. I ensured that I was careful in setting it up, installing the valves, etc. After a really nice rainfall, it was full. A couple days later, it was empty and bone dry. I filled it up to check it again, and it leaks like crazy.

Absolutely LOVE these rain barrels. They are very heavy duty and plenty of room for planing a plant that does not have deep roots on top!

The package has a lead warning on it. I'm not using it on a food garden but if I was, I would have returned it. It's a shame because I like the barrel and may have ordered more if it weren't for the lead.

The return on this item was terrible! I had to PAY 30 to return it, even though in its description-we offer returns on MOST items within 30 days. Except the one I ordered, I guess. They should tell you which items you would have to pay for! I did call and was offered 10 of my next order! Whoop whoop!

This thing is awesome

I absolutely love this rain catchment. Good quality product and excellent quality fixtures. Came with brass fixtures and tape. Only recommendation would be to get mosquito dunks as the screen is still enough for a moquito to get in and breed. Also, bottom faucet is close to bottom so need a stand to put on to use or have to hook up a bendable hose to it. I would highly recommend and would buy another one.

This is my second rain barrel. My first was attached to a previous house that we sold and the buyer loved it so much, it sealed the deal! When you pay money at a nursery for plants, why not spend a little more on a rain barrel? They have gotten me through several droughts and my plants love rain water which contains nutrients rather than ordinary tap water.

Colossal Waste of Time and Money

First of all, I had to order 3 rain barrels before I finally got one. My first order was cancelled because it was actually out of stock. The second one I ordered sat dormant with a label created for many days. My money was refunded, then 3 days later it arrived....9 days late. By this time, I had ordered a 3rd rain barrel (all from the same company,} which arrived the day before the second order. I was responsible for taking the second back to FedEx to ship back. Now to the actual rain barrel. There is virtually no rim on the rain barrel that I ended up with. This makes it impossible to properly place the downspout. It just sits on top of the screen. The spigot on the side, which I intended to use to fill my watering can, drips constantly if there is water at that level. So by the time I need water, it has already fallen below that level. Lastly, since the downspout just sits on top of the screen, the planter fills with water drowning my flowers, which were pretty expensive. I had high hopes and an image in my head of how this should have played out. Now I will need to put in new downspout since it was cut to land at the top of the rain barrel. The whole experience has been nothing but frustrating and very disappointing.

I got the same rain barrel I had been looking for on another site, but for a better price with Wayfair. Shipping was free and I got it very quickly. It looks great so far. The real test will come after a couple of rainy days but I’m very happy with it.
