I wanted a cheap caged light fixture for my attic,...

I wanted a cheap caged light fixture for my attic, and that’s what I got. Sharp metal edges, rusted cage bolts (I replaced them), installation holes that are under the fixture can and you can barely get a tool on. Don’t expect too much.

This light fixture description states "Certified for damp/wet locations." I mounted 6 underneath my back deck to light up the basement door walkway. No gasket comes with this light fixture to seal it to the electrical can box. Rain water drips down from the deck past electrical can onto the light fixture top plate seeping through top ,plate hole where wires run.The light fixture glass cover fills with water. This light fixture allows water to penetrate and get into the electrical wiring connections and light bulb holder. This in no way constitutes "certified for wet locations!"
