Even Better than Anticipated.

We are late to the Air Fryer game.

Works well but falls apart fast. Poor quality

They work but not for long. After about 4 months the light stopped working. After 6 months the silicon feet of the tray started coming loose and then the plugs that hold it in are breaking off so the feet won't stay on.

This Airfryer is my workhorse.

I Love my Instant Pot Vortex Plus 6 QT Airfryer, I've had mine since February 2022. I use my Airfryer practically everyday. I live alone but I wouldn't buy a smaller Airfryer, this is the perfect size for me, I can cook a Steak on it frozen or unfrozen, I have a Grill Grate that I heat up for 10 minutes before throwing my steak on it and it cooks up with beautiful grill marks on it. (Can be found on grillgrate.com) they make sizes to fit Airfryer 's.

Close basket issue

I purchased this product a little over 2 years ago, and it was working very well until suddenly it started displaying a "close the basket" message, even though the basket was already closed. I haven’t been able to use it since. I called customer service, and they informed me that they cannot do anything because the one-year warranty has expired. The air fryer looks brand new, with no damage or dents; it just started showing this message, and now I can't use it. Therefore, I am giving it a rating of 2.

Instant Vortex - I’m very pleased with my purchase

This air fryer is large enough for my family to replace the Mealthy Lid that I used with my Instant Pot. The Mealthy Lid would only fit 1 hamburger at a time.

Best little appliance I've ever had

I've had this for a few months and have put it through its paces! I have not been disappointed! It's fast, quiet, and does what it promises. It doesn't take up a lot of space on my counter top but I would gladly give up that space in return for a quick and efficient appliance like this one. Love that it lets me know when to change the filter, and also love that it doesn't heat up my kitchen like my big oven. Clean up with a bit of Dawn Power Shot and a quick rinse! Easy as can be. I love my air fryer!

Great machine

Bought a few weeks ago. I live alone but bought the 6 quart anyway. This machine is tremendous. I love battered fish and unfortunately you can only get Gorton's style fish from freezer section. I love Gorton's because it's whole fish not fish pieces. They fry perfectly. I reheat everything in it with out anything being soggy.

Great -- for brief time it lasted

Born 2/20/2023 -Died 7/3/24. Five stars for performance, one star for durability. During the 17 months it worked, I was very pleased with its performance, which met my expecatations based on the many review sites which have this as their top model. But durability of less than 18 months is miserable. I'd buy it only if it is heavily discounted, and knowing that you might need to replace it much sooner than you think.

Highest rated in CR and best all around capacity

This is an excellent device. It cooks evenly and is a snap to clean up the basket and removable base in basket. One of the best features is the glass front and light so you can look at cooking progress at any time without opening the basket and stopping the cooking cycle.

Brilliant Air-Fryer.

Smell no different from most new appliances that get hot, and not that obvious. Works well and cooks brilliantly. No complaints except that I have broken handle of pan by dropping it. Have waited nearly 6 months in UK for replacement part to become available. Always says it is arriving soon. Also not available from anywhere else. Very frustrating. Also the handle is not sold separately - why not?

Easy to use; some plastic smell

Very easy to follow instructions for start up. The navigation and button set up are intuitive. There was a pretty strong burning plastic smell when I tested it without food as instructed. The smell was noticeably less the second and third times I used it. Really enjoy the food I’ve made with it thus far. Love the light feature to be able to check in on the food. It’s a bit larger than expected but I ordered it online so that’s on me for not looking at the measurements.

STRONG Toxic PLASTIC smell emitted to food.

Very DISAPPOINTED in the Vortex 6 QT. air fryer due to a STRONG plastic odor emitted into air and the cooked food! Per manufacturers instructions, before running the machine, I gently cleaned the basket & the interior of the air fryer, removed all packaging, & ran the "test" cycle. During the test heating process, the air fryer emitted an intense plastic odor. Online, I discovered many similar "plastic odor" complaints suggesting to place a bowl of 50/50 vinegar & water inside & to run the test again. I performed this procedure twice plus prepared 3-5 meals. During & after, not only did the house reek of plastic odor but the food had an awful chemical aftertaste. This defect is probably toxic. I'm getting rid of this machine.

Vortex 6 Quart Instant Air Fryer

The best air fryer yet. We have had many. Easy clean up. Works fabulous on all sorts of food. Saves energy. Now our most utilized appliance . Last night was Earls chicken breast on a bun with fries. Couldn’t have gone to a restaurant and had better. The night before a special cauliflower with a light coating of spices and breading (to die for) I could go on the Inam getting hungry writing about this.

Worth buying

I've been using this air fryer for about two years and it has never disappointed me. High quality product and easy to use. In this air fryer, meat, fish, sausages, vegetables and much more turn out very juicy and tasty and at the same time very quickly, the main thing is to choose the right temperature. I am very glad that I chose this product. I thank the manufacturer every time I use it. Thank you!

Air Fryer Plus

The unit is well made and provides varied cooking methods in addition to air frying. I prepared the unit prior to first using it as per the instructions provided. I did not have any odors of smoking as some reviewers had experienced. I cooked several meats over the course of two days using a prescribed recipe. After the end of the cooking cycle, the meats had the correct internal temperature and were browned and crispy outside. Before making the purchase I researched the top air fryers and this item made the top of several lists. I discovered that not only did Macy’s have it in stock, but Macy’s also had one of the best prices when compared with other vendors. I easily ordered it online and picked it up at the store. The clear cook feature that allows you to view the cooking while in progress is great for a beginner. I am pleased with the purchase.

Easy to use!

Highly recommend! Easy to use and makes the food taste great. Used it making tikka chicken strips -turned it on- when it beeped added fresh chicken strips quickly coated with a dry mix and mixed with a little lemon juice -put it in the bucket - sprayed a little Bertolli olive oil spray on it and shut the basket and voila! Delish! Turned on the light along the way and took it out a few minutes before the normal cooking time . Cooks super fast.

Where have you been all my life

Just love this new addition to my kitchen. I have used it almost everyday. I actually borrowed a friend's different brand air fryer a year ago to try it out and did not like it. Everyone around me raves about air frying so I thought I'd give this Instant brand a try. And I have been absolutely loving it. I recommend you give this Instant Vortex Plus a try. It has changed my way of thinking on air fryers.

I would recommend this product

I was a bit concerned about ordering this online but it arrived before the due date, intact and not damaged! I have a mini version, and ordered the larger one, as now there are 2 people using it. I like the Vortex Plus as the cooking area is bigger but not that much taller (like some other models) as we do things like fish in it which don't stack well. This model has the time to flip reminder and is simple to use. I kept the mini so now I make the larger items in this size and can cook things at 2 different temps or times. The only draw back is the timer chime is quieter than the mini, and a different tone, not like a buzzer, so I need to be aware and not leave the kitchen.

Great Machine

So far I've been very impressed with this air fryer. I did a lot of research prior to purchase and am happy with the result. I've done lots of experimenting with mostly good results - It's a definite learning curve! I did do my initial "burn off" outside as some reviewers recommended and have had no odour inside. Cleans up beautifully. I haven't seen the need for a lot of extra accessories as most of my baking dishes etc fit nicely except I did buy the grill pan from Instant Pot that allows for airflow under the meat etc and helps with cleanup. I would readily recommend this product.
