I was looking for a lovely accent bookcase for our bedroom. This is the perfect piece. Not too big but just right for family photos or books on that have-to-read list. The upper drawers are a plus! Highly recommend!

Terrible experience

I do not recommend this bookcase. It arrived heavily damaged. The 800 number to contact customer service tells you to send an email and there is noone to speak to on the phone ( it hangs up on you). After sending an email to Design House, I am told to just work it out with Walmart, and all will be fine. Not so, as I was told by Walmart customer service to find another box, pack it and ship it back to the seller ( I was supposed to provide the box, packing materials, etc). Mind you, the bookcase assembly parts are 50 inches tall, and I don't have a new box lying around my garage that big ( the old box was in no shape to reuse). LOL. A nice supervisor finally resolved this and is sending a freight company that will pack and ship the return. This has taken hours and hours to resolve... time I didn't have. Explaining that I am an elderly woman with disabilities also didn't matter. Anyway, if you want a fun project with many many parts to assemble, then order this item and hope it arrives undamaged. Meanwhile, I will have to wait for a refund for another week or more.

Oak Mantel Height Bookcase w/Drawer

Love this bookcase and perfect for where I wanted it. The problem we had is that the corners of ALL the shelves were damaged. I didn't want to wait for a replacement so due my clever husband's work, he repaired them enough to hide the worst of the damage and hide it to the back of the unit. The package was very damaged on one end when received. Perhaps the carrier should be notified.

Great Bookcase

I originally bought the corner desk of this and then bought both the tall and short bookcases for my office space. It was a bit complicated to put together, but came with everything needed and turned out great. This shelf is perfect for all my tall and heavy books and I can keep other items in the drawer. Definitely recommend.

As described the shelf is made of steel frame with real solid wood shelves and drawer. We bought two and are pleased with the quality and appearance. Easy to assemble.

Good for narrow space in your house.

Despite of the one leg is missing the adjustment screw piece at the bottom, it is sturdy enough and looks good. It’s is narrow for small space in my house and just perfect for my needs.

Love this bookcase - was exactly the size I needed and beautiful - was very easy to assemble. I ordered it for display of my framed family pictures and looks great - well worth the money/

Bookcase Watch your measurements

This a nice quality piece for the price. It was relatively easy to assemble although the screws were only good for the little Allen wrench. It would have been better if I could have used a Phillips screwdriver. Also, I thought I had measured correctly but didn’t take into account that only the top of this unit is 32 inches; the body is about 27 inches. The drawer is nice (not as deep as I would have liked) but it was defective. My husband was able to fix it thought. I still like this piece very much which is why I kept it.

This bookcase looks expensive and great quality. THIS BOOKCASE IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR AND IT BLENDS VERY NICELY WITH THE BEDROOM FURNITURE. VERY TRUE TO DESCRIPTION. I AM A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!

Great Storage and Functionality

Purchased item to be used for storage in a bedroom. Item was delivered in excellent condition. Instructions for assembly were easily followed. Bookcase is sturdy and can hold lots of books and/or other decorative items. For the price, the quality was exceptional.

This is as handsome in person as it looks online. All the parts were present and accounted for, fit together well, with no additional tools. If you need to attach to wall to prevent tipping you may need drill and/or hammer. We were able to adjust leg size at the base of legs for balance and added a few heavy books on bottom shelf and, so voila....no tipping. A lovely piece, and well made.

Gorgeous little bookcase.

This is a beautiful quality bookcase. Please check measurements carefully - because it is small, at only about 50" tall. It arrived well-packaged and was very easy to put together. We've bought several pieces from this manufacturer in the past and have never been disappointed.

Quality bookcase that is easy to put together

This bookcase is a solid well made piece of furniture. It shipped quickly and arrived super fast. It is was quite easy to put together using the included Allen wrench and a drill (for the twelve wood screws that hold the back board in place). It is a heavy/sturdy bookshelf made with real wood and metal. I am an older woman and I was able to put it together by myself. Simple straightforward instructions. I would highly recommend this bookcase to anyone looking for a taller narrow bookshelf. The drawer is already put together and it glides smoothly. This is a lovely addition to my home. I am very happy to have found this quality piece of furniture at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Beautiful finish. The drawer at the top is a nice feature. Easy to assemble. Easy to clean under, unlike furniture that goes all the way to the floor. The piece across the back really increases the strength of the piece. It’s also exactly the right height for a TV stand, so that you can watch while you’re sitting, standing, or moving about. I’ve ordered a second one to place into an otherwise difficult corner of the room. It will serve as a bookshelf and as a light stand over my computer desk.

Beautiful piece, but much smaller than I anticipated. It did not serve my needs, but nice addition to my living space. I will look for a similar smaller piece to store additional books.
