After assembling the lamp it
After assembling the lamp it was apparent that it was defective and actually not very sturdy …. I returned it for a complete refund.

I contacted customer service about this but received no reply. The metal shades are not ivory but gray. Thus, without the lights on, the lamp shades do not pop against the wall.
