The Review I Wish I Had

This is the heaviest piece of furniture ever and pieces broke apart TWICE (we got a replacement and the same thing happened) while we were putting it together. Taking it apart and sending back was next to impossible because it’s so heavy.

The bookshelf is beautiful and would look great in any room. The doors provide a peek of the items inside but also allow for hidden storage (I haven’t finished decorating the shelves yet but have attached a picture!). However, this was difficult to put together and it would crack easily. I attached pictures of this as well. Pay attention carefully and use good tools and I think it would be okay. Even with the cracks it’s working well.

Perfect wardrobe

I was very nervous to order these with no reviews or ratings and no brand recognition of "Real Rooms". However, they arrived quickly, with no damage and all parts needed. Build was very quick and easy. No more complex than any IKEA build. I live in an old bungalow with no closets. These two cabinets together, with hanging rods installed, are the perfect wardrobe. Caveat: I use children's hangers instead of full size. Full size hangers need to be angled to fit inside with the doors shut.

I am absolutely in love with this cabinet. Its bigger than I expected. I got a couple of men to help me put it together and it was pretty easy. Its a beautiful cabinet.

I received the Mr. Kate Tess 2 Door Wide Storage Cabinet complimentary through Influenster in exchange for my honest review and found it unnecessarily frustrating. While the end piece of furniture looks decent, the assembly was a headache from start to finish. This is the third cabinet I have put together in the past six months and the only one I would not repurchase. Everything was well wrapped for shipping and the box was in great condition, but there were noticeable dents that would have occurred in the warehouse. The feet were peeling apart in a veneer that was the quality of wrapping paper. When I started to assemble, I noticed the cam lock fasteners were not the same depth as the pre drilled holes, and thus sank and spun when they should not have. This became a major issue when you needed to put separate pieces together that contained multiple cam locks as they would spin and move, which caused several to get jammed. I had to disassemble and leave the cams out and then place them in afterwards to lock properly and even then they continued to shift while working in another section and become unlocked. This made me very concerned about the bottom brace of the cabinet and I wound up needing to reinforce the structure. All of this could have been avoided if they did not cheap out on the hardware that is noticeably lesser quality than typically supplied in this type of furniture. The doors went on relatively smoothly and completely assembled it looks pretty decent. However, compared to other items I assembled in the past few months, and a few others in the past, this is the least sturdy and the one most likely to tip over, so I highly recommend following instructions and mounting this to the wall. If you really like this piece and insist on getting it, do yourself a favor and buy decent hardware that is appropriately sized for the pre drilled holes. Hopefully, the company will address this issue in the future and honestly they need to if they want people to buy their furniture.

This storage cabinet is really nice. I’m a big fan of the oaks white wash finish. It is made of a veneer/pressboard so be aware that is is really heavy. It took 2 people to put together because there were a few pieces that would be a bit tricky to put together individually but not impossible. I’m going to be adding this to my built in closet and I really like it!
