The receptacle was very well made and tamper resistant. I really bought it because of the flat surface top. I felt that a plug would have level contact with the receptacle. But, that's me! Happy.
What’s going on with the colors?
I bought a Leviton outlet, switch, and wall plate all in light almond. At least that’s what it said on all the containers. Much to my surprise, all three were different colors!! Now the job looks funny.
Love these for the kids' rooms. Works as expected. TR works perfectly. Will purchase this again when needed.
Great replacement
Had a bad outletand changed it witj this one
Works as expected however the outlet and the cover plate of the same brand (Decora) and color (white) are slightly different shades of white. It would be nice if the colors matched better.
Great for indoor use / replacement. Not recommended for garage or outside plugs. Bought several to replaced worn out plugs inside house. For the price and value this is what works best.
Garbage
If you manage to wriggle, jam, hammer a plug into these dumb things, leave the plug in because it's 'use resistant' not tamper resistant. It will ruin the plug in trying over and over to plug something in.
worth it
Great outlets. They look great and are easy to install. Come in a 10 pack and have tamper resistent outlets which is a plus. Leviton is a trusted brand with quality products.
the salesman in electrical was most helpful. I told him my problem and he took me to the items that would solve it. The outlet is for outdoor use and is manufactured for that purpose. It was easy to install and is working well.
Electrician recommended. Don’t buy any other brand.
These are used in new construction. Tamper resistant means that little Jimmy can’t stab a butter knife into the socket. Don’t buy other cheap brands such as “home line” unless you want a fire hazard.
Great plugs for 15 amp purposes.
great for new installation and to replace worn out plugs. These seem well made and I used 6 so far. I may replace some of the older plugs as these work well. These are made for 14/2 wire
The good:
The outlet works as it should. I like the Leviton because the contacts seem to hold up longer than other ones I have used. My only CON is that the mounting screw heads are so soft that it doesn't take much for the screwgun to strip out the head and make the screw really difficult to insert or remove.

I bought a single outlet and decided to also get a10 pack bc several outlets needed switched from 2-prong to 3-prong.

Easy to install with the help of a couple of YouTube videos. If they building is older, be prepared to buy grounding pigtails also. And if you have little ones around, springing for the tamper resistant outlets is a good investment.
Tamper Resistant = Inconvenience
I bought tamper resistant because it was the better looking option. But it's not as easy to put cords in nor to see where you are putting them in. There is no lead-in on the hole so you can't be lazy about getting it started. You have to look real carefully to make sure it's lined up and then be real careful to push straight in.

Good and affordable option. My main complaint is that the stub-in holes in the back for easy-connect wires were too small for our home's wiring. Perhaps our wire gauge is larger than what is required for 15 amps--but it's safe and allowed to use thicker gauge wire, so they shoulder really have an issue with this. It did seem like the size of the holes weren't consistent from one outlet to another, so maybe it's just a production issue. Like most outlets, the screw options are a huge pain to fit the curved wire beneath--it would be nice if they could make the screws just a TAD longer.

I love the Leviton Decora 15 Amp Tamper Resistant Duplex Outlet. I am in a home that is about 15 years old. I have found several of the builders outlets that don't always connect when an appliance is plugged in to the socket. The builder probably spent $0.50 on each outlet. Leviton Decora 15 Amp Tamper Resistant Duplex Outlet are a bit more robust and still economical. I like a lot of what Leviton produces.
Why can't they make this receptacle with a backwire feature? I find it annoying Leviton does make a 15 amp Decora TR with backwire. The shutters are difficult operate but I'm stuck with this unless I buy the commercial version with backwire but lacks TR
No backwire. Shutters difficult to insert

Indoor GFCI kept tripping even after replacement. After further research, the problem was most likely the outdoor receptable that was over 30 years old and probably deteriorated over the years. It was also not weather resistant which may have led to mostier penetration causing the GFCI trips. Decided to replace both receptacles with this weather resistant version. So far, so good but waiting for a serious rainfall for the test.
