Very warm, very nice!

This is a very nice and very warm coat and I love it's pink color because it's a splash of cheerfulness in an otherwise drab time of year in a sea of black coats. I wore this out when it was something like 8 degrees and was not cold at all. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the hood is ridiculously big. Perhaps it was designed to contain a ski helmet, which was an error, because this isn't the type of coat you'd wear skiing.

Disappointed

I purchased this coat because it had down filling and the reviews were positive for warmth. I wore the coat for the first time when it was about 30 degrees out with the real feel at about 24 degrees. The coldness was going right through the coat. I was dressed properly with heavy sweater, winter hat, gloves, scarf and faux fur lined suede boots.

On the fence...

Most women's parkas are similar. There isn't much difference between vendors. The "down" pattern is horizontal, and the fit is boxy. The hood is short and the fur is cheap. The adjustment pull for the hood is in the back of the hood, and you can feel it on your head. The wrist wind guards are made of polyester, they aren't knit. The pockets aren't deep and the zipper pulls for the pockets are small and hard to grip. The zippers on the pockets are hard to close. It is warm, and the length is good. I like the 2-way zipper which is better quality than the pockets. I'm on the fence if I will keep it as I got it for a good price, but I expect better quality for this vendor.
