The BEST baby (or cat) proofing solution out there!

These locks are on everything. Are they annoying to unlock? Yes. But are they strong enough to keep baby out? Oh yes. No pinched fingers, no rearranging my cabinets, just stick the lock on and continue life as usual. Incredibly easy to install. STRONG adhesive (though does wear after a couple years, so have some backups). Plenty of magnets provided if you order the 12-pack.

Four out of 10 in each package were defective!

Good directions, fairly easy to install, although touchy to adjust right so they grab properly and close without hitting. But the product quality is horrible. 4 out of the 10 in each of the 2 packages I bought were defective (had to trash them). They are made of soft, flexible plastic and the right side catch on the spring-loaded arm was bent inward and would not catch the body of the latch like it is supposed to, making it impossible to install -- Lousy product -- look for something better!

Absolutely love this!

These baby locks are so nice! Ive always hated the ones that you have to push down buttons or squeeze because kids usually figure it out quickly so this pretty cool! The ‘tool’ to help put them on and line everything up is subpar though like unless your doing a double door cabinet that you can open the other side to keep ahold of the whole thing the entire time the tool is useless but thats the only thing i didnt like

Very disappointed by buying these magnetic cabinet locks. Very very poor quality. Especially the 3M tape really not dependable as it comes off after few minutes. So be ready to buy some screws to keep these locks attached. Screws should have been provided with the item. Also this item over-priced. I kept the locks and bought few screws and screwed the locks. DISAPPOINTING. Do not recommend.

Works great!

I love that there is a mechanism to keep it unlocked if you are going to be constantly using the cabinet or drawer. The locks are tight, and the adhesive is strong enough to stay in place even if the door is pulled on. I am using it to keep my roommates out of my cabinet and drawers and it works perfectly. For toddlers and babies this is a great solution as well. To remove you would have to apply quite a bit of force but it'll eventually come off. The only thing I don't like is that if you have another magnet strong enough it'll unlock the lock too.

Don't waste your time; literally nothing about this worked for me.

Instructions are unclear. Installation tool was useless; all included locks and latches popped out immediately upon being set in installation frame. There's no way it could have worked as described in the instructions. Maybe my installation fram was defective? Doesn't matter. Scrapped tool and measured for placement. But the adhesive would not secure to the wood cabiet door or the the melamine frame; the slightest pressure from closing the door caused the adhesive on both sides to fail and the parts to pop off the cabinet, no matter how long I held the lock in place to try to let the adhesive cure. Finally, even if I could have installed the lock, the magnet did not work through the door. My cabinet doors are solid wood from one of the world's largest, most common cabinet manufacturers. I wish I would have tested the magnet before taking time to try to install it. Just a stupid waste of time.

I didn't use the installation tool they give you. Some of my drawers are made a little different, so I had to adjust how far up/down to put the lock so it would latch.

[Rewarded Review] Great Product

Received the Jool Baby Products Magnetic Cabinet Locks, Discreet, Damage-Free Adhesives, Easy Installation Tool (4 Pack). I like that these can be used in the kitchen, bathroom and on garage cabinets. I also like that they are tamper resistant for children and pets, yet easily bypassed by adults. I am glad these are damage free and won’t peel paint or leave unwanted residue on the furniture. I especially like that the install tool is included and the magnetic cabinet locks can be installed with no tools or drilling and use 3m adhesive. Really like that the locks are entirely hidden from sight when cabinets are closed. Installed these on some cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom and they work very well. Kept the little one out and were easy to open for adults and easy to install. I will be buying more to install on more cabinets and have already recommended to friends and family.

[Rewarded Review] Did not work for me

I'm a bit disappointed in these drawer locks. Instead of being held to the backside of the drawer and the cabinet with screws, Jool decided to use 3M adhesive. The adhesive feels really sticky when I touch it, but it does not stay stuck to the backside of the drawer. Our cabinets have been painted in a semi-gloss enamel paint, so maybe that has something to do with it but one good tug and the catch pops off the back of the drawer. I'm wondering if there is a way I can drill some holes through the plastic and get one or two small screws in there to hold it better. You can also disable the lock by flicking a switch which I personally do not care for. I have a six year old that I can already envision disabling the latches so he doesn't have to try to find the keys. Your mileage may vary.

[Rewarded Review] Awesome "invisable" cabinet/drawer locks!

I have been using these Cabinet locks for a month now and they have held up great and are so easy to use! I keep the magnet key on our wall on one of the included bases (Just a metal circle with adhesive on the back) for easy access.

[Rewarded Review] Great Design with Installation Tool

In order to install these cabinet locks so that they are aligned correctly, you use the installation tool that you load the latch and the lock into prior to installing. The directions tell you step by step how to align and install them. There a few basic pieces to this cabinet locking system. The magnetic latch, lock and magnetic key. The tool is just used for installation to line up the pieces before removing the adhesive backing. The key (knob) is used to release the magnetic lock to open the door. You can temporarily disable the lock with the switch on the bottom for use when children aren’t around. This is a nice feature. There are four locks in a pack.

[Rewarded Review] Good product combination

This is our second set of baby proofing products and these work better than the first. There is a bit of care put into the installation tool, which makes all the difference. The installation tool is a square piece of plastic, that loads the top portion of these door locks in the top of it, while the door attachment loads in the face of it. Aligning the two where they need to sit if reference to one another in order to work properly. Very, very helpful. Otherwise, you just use the provided magnet to unlock the clasping mechanism similar to other products. These are not permanent and will need to be replaced when someone opens the drawer or door to forcefully, thereby tearing the lock off of the cabinet.

[Rewarded Review] Childproof Magnetic Door Locks

These Childproof Magnetic door and cabinet locks are made of hard plastic. There are no sharp edges to cut you or your child's hand. These are attached to the inside of the cabinet door or the drawer. The plastic locks attach to the cabinet or door with 3M tape. You simply remove the plastic film from the tab and place it in the desired place.

[Rewarded Review] Complicated but effective.

I promised to watch my nieces baby boy on occasion and since most babies love to empty out the kitchen cabinets I thought I would head him off at the pass and baby proof my house before he had a chance to obliterate my pots and pans and destroy my kitchen. I will give him one cabinet to empty but ordered these Jool magnetic cabinet locks for all the others. These locks are very different than the old style latch locks, these locks use a magnetic lever with that hooks under the small plate and you use a round magnetic knob to disengage the magnet. This package includes 12 locks, 12 plates, an installation tool and two magnetic knobs. It took me a few minutes to understand how to install these locks but once you install one the others are easy. No tools are necessary, there is an adhesive pad on the back of each piece and all you do is stick the lock and latch to the cabinet door and frame. One installation tool or template is included in the box but figuring out you use it is another story. I had to study the picture for a while to make sure I loaded the pieces correctly. The installation tool is very useful because it helps you install the lock and latch in the proper alignment so the latch catches under the plate properly (hopefully my pictures clarify how to use It). Once installed to disengage the lock you apply the magnetic knob to the outside of the cabinet and it causes the lock to drop from under the latch. Don’t know what I think about these new dangled locks, it all seems like quite a lot of work compared to the old lock and latches your use to seeing but they are easier to disengage as long as you don’t lose you magnetic knob.

[Rewarded Review] Good idea but may not be totally childproof

I was interested in using this magnetic lock system. I've seen it used on hidden shelf bottoms to keep hidden guns safe so I thought it would be a good idea to keep toddlers away from chemicals/cleaning products under the counter. But, the package says to not use it where chemicals will be stored. I understand why now. Since it is stick on, we all know toddlers can be super-strong so they might be able to pull off the sticky parts and open the doors. I installed it anyway and have a plan to shoot 2 finishing nails through each plastic part to make it more secure, hopefully. I suppose that could also weaken the plastic but I'm going to give it a try since the cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink.

[Rewarded Review] Toddler Cabinet and door

a must if you have toddlers around your home .these simple to use locks are easy to unlock if you use the supplied magnetic tool . you just need to place/mount the tool out of reach of your toddler using the self sticking mount. these are easy to install and you can lock them open when not needed to protect a toddler .as a grand parent this is great as we only need them sometimes . we do suggest marking the area .were you installed the Joob cabinet locks with a small piece of painters tape .to remind you were you need to wave the unlocking tool . the Joob set comes with a easy to use insulation tool . and they install using pre installed peel and stick adhesive made by 3 M. so no tools needed to install the units . all so drilling holes anywhere these brackets are mounted. they mount out of site so you or the child wont see them . we will need more sets for are home soon !

A Lifesaver

Thank goodness for these locks! I haven't had a toddler in the house for a few years. That said we have several families in our social circle who visit us regularly with their toddlers. We've lost many a glass or dish to a curious toddler the parent couldn't keep up with. These are fantastic. I simply installed them (without any tools) and waited to see how our next toddler guest would do on their next visit. Of course they tried their luck but simply moved on when the cupboards wouldn't budge. These locks won't be going anywhere anytime soon as they are a lifesaver. I can highly recommend them to anyone with a toddler in their home regularly.

This magnetic set came with four locks, one key, and a key "holder". These magnetic locks are strong enough to keep toddlers and even kids out of cabinets and drawers. Some of my favorite things about these locks are you can't see them, they aren't bulky, and they won't ruin the outside of my cabinets when I no longer need them. The magnetic key is small and is easy to hide. I stuck the key holder to the underside of my wall cabinet in my kitchen. That made the key easily accessible for me but hidden from my children. The magnetic key makes a slight clicking noise when it hovers over the lock. It would be nice if it came with an extra magnetic key, just in case I lose it or if I need to use some of the locks in a different room. Thankfully even if I lose the key any strong magnet will work as a key. The only thing I dislike about these locks is that if you mess up while putting these on there is no way to redo them. I messed up on the first lock I put on. I was able to remove the sticky part, but I can no longer stick it back on since it lost all of its stickiness when I removed it the first time. Overall it is easy to follow the instructions on how to set up these locks, but I found watching a video on the internet was more helpful than the instructions that were provided.

Easiest and Best Cabinet Locks Ever!

I got these a couple weeks ago as our twins just started really moving around and showing curiosity about everything they see. I cannot even express how much I absolutely love this easy install cabinet lock set! There is zero guesswork or measuring when placing the locking pieces on both the inside of the cabinet and the door as the kit includes an installation piece that sits both pieces right inside it. It's as easy as clicking the lock pieces into place on the install piece, removing the backing on the command strip and placing the piece in the cabinet, then remove backing for the command strip on the door part, shut the door, reopen door, and remove the install piece and press set pieces in a little harder for better security and you're done! The command strips are far more resilient than I'd have ever thought they'd be as we adults cannot even open the cabinets with more than normal efforts without the magnet. The magnet to unlock these also came with it's own command strip setting home magnetic piece to be placed anywhere you desire out of reach of the children. I highly recommend these fool proof magnetic cabinet locks from Jool, they are the absolute easiest and best cabinet locks we've ever had!
