Love the drainer, not the colour

My expandable drainer is effective at protecting my impractical oak worktop from water stains. I think from an aesthetic point of view l would have preferred it in three shades of the same colour, purple to lilac would have made it perfect.

Key to a tidy kitchen

This has been a bit of a game changer for our kitchen. Leave it compact most of the time as we have a dishwasher. Keep the kitchen looking near until needed for the handwashed items. Main issues is that it's a bit of a pain to clean and the white coloured section starts looking dirty very quickly. Would be better if all in darker colours.

Disappointing... my dishes do not dry at all on this draining board

I purchased this draining board to replace my old Joseph Joseph Connect draining board as I found that one becoming too big/too present for my new kitchen. I now completely regret that I've thrown that one away as this draining board isn't working for me at all! The dishes are not getting dry at all on this one! They keep being wet, with water on it, while on my old Connect draining board everything was dry within a few hours. If I had known beforehand, I would have never replaced my old one.

Not practical at all

Purchased because I liked the smaller size with expansion possibilities and color of the plastic...BUT 1) does NOT work for any tall items like plastic cutting boards or baking pans (they just flop over), 2) knives and utensils lie flat and get water spots rather than drip drying, 3) dark colored top tray shows awful water spots (yes, I have hard water) and I had to scrub each individual rib during weekly cleaning to get them clean and 4) doesn't drain water as conveniently as promised. I regret purchasing this a few weeks ago and just replaced it with an OXO product.

Limited yet adequate

This draining rack allows to drain cups, glasses and small kitchen utensils. Yet it would repel liquids better if it were made out of rubber (or simply coated with it).

Messy & Useless

There is no drainage hole with this and the water collects between the pieces, which break apart and cause water to leak everywhere after it fills up with dripping water from the dishes-MESSY. I had to place a drying mat underneath this drying mat-USELESS.

Practical, useful product

The extending Draining Mat is easy to use, easy to maintain clean and when not in use can be store easily.

Useful item if you don't have a draining board.

I got this for my new kitchen, which is quite small. When designing the kitchen as I have a dishwasher, I decided I would prefer more work surface and to not have a sink with a build in draining board.

Works quite well as extra draining space much better than a mat that soaks up water and doesn’t allow air flow.

Needs an additional drainage hole

The design of the draining board seems to be design over function.

Cannot review item as not received!

Unfortunately although purchased I never received this item so cannot give a review. !!! I can however review you customer service and that in fact would be a ZERO rating. The reason for this rating is that despite advising by email and chat of non receipt I have not even had the courtesy or a single response from Joseph and Joseph apart from this review request !!!

Forget drainer grooves - this gadget does the trick!

We were advised against having drainer grooves by our quartz worktop installers as they apparently don't serve much practical purpose. We turned to this implement instead which seems to be performing its function very well. It looks smart enough to want to have it on show but folds away neatly when not in use if you don't.

Good looking and quality

Selected this item as wanted an unobtrusive drainer for kitchen/ dining room. Really pleased with it does the job can vary size as required; and takes up very little space under sink when not in use!

Joseph does it again

Super handy when you need some extra drainage. Packs away so nicely it slides right under the sink. I love the little catchments so the water doesn’t just pool. The integrated water spout is well thought of so it drains right into the sink! Joseph Joseph never fail to deliver.

This is the drain board that does overtime! Large pots and pans also fit on this must have kitchen drain board. Since it's expandable, it's exactly the kind of design in a drain board that you want on your countertop and a great space saving feature. Easy to disassemble for cleaning. Must have kitchen hack!

Rather disappointing!

We are huge fans of JosephJoseph products but this was not a success. We bought it as an addition to our new worktop, whose grooved draining section is less than efficient, and I'm afraid we found this to be not much help. It did extend the draining area, but water did not drain through the higher sections as anticipated.

Poor Quality and Construction

I’m very disappointed in the quality and construction of this product. The pieces do not stay together. Each time you pick up the item or try to extend the levels, it completely disconnects and falls apart. Due to the poor connection points, it’s not a quick fix but snapping it back in place as one would expect. I am now realizing that the product demonstration video does not show the levels being extended and I am sure it is due to the reasons that I and may others have expressed disappointment with. This item was supposed to create is and convenience, but instead only causes frustration. This is going back.

Fine but a little impractical

Bought this as the draining area in the sink of our new place is quite limited. It actually doesn't help much because of the unevenness large items don't sit that well. You can't put anything upright to drain either. I thought the groove may be a little deeper and allow you to put plates in them. No can do. Anyway, it does what was advertised I suppose, but doesn't suit my needs.

Low profile extending draining mat

Pros: A good idea because conventional dish drying racks can be a bit of an eyesore. Attractive in three shades of grey.

The first Joseph Joseph product that I did not absolutely love.

I have three other types of JJ dish drying products and they are all just fantastic with one having a slight flaw that is easy to work around. This expanding drain board was actually the first that I ordered but the last received. I was excited about the design until it arrived. The three sections are designed to separate in order to be able to adequately wash them which in theory is a positive. Unfortunately the design is such that they section separate with normal use which means that, every time it was put to use, one would have to connect the three sections by fitting two small tabs into just the right spot on the slots if another section for two sections. That’s a hassle that I certainly do not need. Additionally, I am not happy with the feel of this product or the level of quality that my initial impression with holding it and trying to use it. I wil be returning it based in the unboxing experience. I had no desire to try it in actual implementation.
