beware of strong offgass odor

The color of the brontasaurus turned out less blue more dark grey than pic, but I'm pleased with size/shape of all the dinosaurs. I'm only rating 2 stars because as soon as I opened the plastic bags that wrapped each piece, I noticed an overwhelming chemical smell. VOC offgassing isn't good for humans, big or small. I am going to place the toys outdoors for a while to see if depletes.

Strong chemical smell

Very strong odor when you first unwrap them, it does wash away but it's really overwhelmingly strong. The little raptor doesn't stand on his own. Just not the same quality as the farm animal set I bought a few months ago. The size is nice and big and my grandson still enjoys playing with them

Strong smell and some wouldn't stand

My toddler enjoys playing with them, but the T-Rex green dino and the smaller yellow dino will not stand in either box set we got. The first box came and the chemical smell from the dinosaurs was really bad. Much worse than any smell from the reptile and amphibian set we bought of the same brand. Target was wonderful and sent us a second box as a replacement. The second box was also strong smelling, but not as bad. However, the green T-Rex dino had crossed legs and wouldn't stand at all.

Smell and Residue

These smelled like spray paint and toilet a bowl freshener pod. We tried to get a replacement, and the replacement still smelled horrible! When I contacted Learning Resources, they responded all their toys are thoroughly tested. Wondering if it’s the individual plastic wrapping for each dino. Also, there’s a powdery residue on the dinos. I think it’s a LR problem as I saw other reviews on their site noting the smell. Too bad.

Love these dinosaurs

We absolutely love these dinosaurs, my daughter plays with them every day. The only complaint that we have is that the Tyrannosaurus rex and raptors legs were either made improperly or smooshed in packaging that caused them to not be able to stand on their own. I have tried stretching them out so that they will stand, but have not had too much luck. They are otherwise amazing, and hours of fun. Very durable and detailed.

Perfect for little kids!

I didn't find any of the small parts that it says makes it unsafe for under 3. What I did find were 5 smiling dinosaurs in whimsical paints that were realistic enough for child play. Really, these are a great size, smiling and friendly, good colors (nothing horrifyingly bright).... the only negative is that they have a molding line around their middle and I can feel that if they went in the water they may swallow some and be a bit of a mold risk. But these are perfect for my littles who don't need hyper realistic (and more expensive) dinosaurs, just some dinos to play with. It also came with an activity guide that gave information about each of the dinosaurs and possible play activities to get kids started. :)

[Rewarded Review] Fun Toys

My husband asked me to pick these dinosaurs out so him and our son could play with them together. I don't know who has more fun, the baby or the daddy. The size of the dinosaurs is great for little hands to explore with, the bright colors really grab his attention. These are great for little minds to go wild with their imagination pretending dinosaurs are walking the earth once again. When we first got them and opened them up there was a very strong odor like plastic and paint that was pretty over whelming. I aired out the dinosaurs by leaving them on a shelf for twenty four hours and threw the plastic bag they came in away, and the smell cleared away. I also washed the dinosaurs down with a warm soapy rag just to wash any residue that might be on them. It was for my peace of mind before letting my little guy get his hands all over them. He loves playing with these large dinosaurs, and loves it more when dad provides noise effects for them. There are other animal options available if your little one is not into dinosaurs. I might have to get the farm animals next. It is great to see my child playing, using his imagination instead of playing on electronics or video games.

These dinosaurs are very well made and very nicely painted. I watch young kids on a regular basis, and all of them love dinosaurs. These dinosaurs have been everywhere from the bathtub to the playground, and have stood up to a lot of abuse. The paint is still intact!

I gave the learning resources jumbo dinosaurs a 3 star rating only because it has a terrible chemical smell that does not go away and you can't immerse them in water to try and soak them in soapy water. the smell will really hit you when you take them out of the plastic bag. Other than the horrible smell, these are a great learning toy. they are colorful and the size of the dinosaurs is excellent. they are not tiny and just something that gets lost quickly. this dinosaur set comes with an educational pamphlet that tells about the dinosaurs and gives parents teaching ideas for interacting with your child in teaching him/her about the dinosaurs. My five yr old daughter loves these dinosaurs and enjoyed playing with them in the tub and in her sandbox and just in general. She realy loved learning the info that we read to her from the pamphlet.

This is a box of jumbo dinosaurs. The box says 3+ years old,but I believe that even older kids would like these. You could make them some sort of habitat, using rocks,sand or gravel. Even soil. You could use a shallow bowl of water for a water hole. Put some kind of ground cover around the bowl to hide the edges. You could use some type of plants,either

I chose the Jumbo Jungle Animals play set for my great nieces and nephews to play with when they come to visit. They are very sturdy and well constructed. Their features are very realistic and detailed. It comes with a giraffe that stands 13.5” tall, a gorilla that is 5” tall, a lion that stands 5” tall and 9.5” long, a tiger that is 4.5” tall by 9” long, and an elephant that stands 7.5”tall and 12” long. They are marketed for children ages 2 and up. They do not have any small pieces, no sharp corners, and nothing that could be pulled off and swallowed. It also comes with an activity guide that includes facts about each animal such as that the elephant drinks an average of 55 gallons of water per day! Did you know that a giraffe in full sprint can run 34 miles per hour? It also includes suggestions of activities kids can do such as drawing a background habitat for them. To clean these toys, you simply wipe them off with a warm wet cloth and dry them immediately. They are NOT dishwasher safe and it is suggested that you NOT immerse them in water. These are a great addition to any home school collection and will bring hours of fun to your kids!

When I saw the box I wondered exactly how big these" jumbo" dinosaurs were going to be. Boy, was I surprised when they turned out to be bigger than I expected. My nephew is a huge fan of Dinosaurs so figured that I would get him a dinosaur I just wasn't expecting it to be huge dinosaurs. To say that he loved it would be an understatement. I was the cool aunt because the ones I got him were bigger than everybody else's and he use his big ones to eat the little ones.

I received these jumbo dinosaurs from spark reviewer and I gave it to my 5 year old son who is more than obsessed with dinosaurs. Of course he absolutely loved them. They are not only a nice sturdy quality which is great because my son has the power to bend and snap many toys that no one else would be able to normally do so these are break proof. They are nice colors as well and also have great detail on them. Each dinosaur looks just like the dinosaur it is supposed to look like. My son plays with them for hours on end. They are a nice size as well making them hard to lose which is always a plus. We have hours of dinosaur fighting fun with these jumbo dinosaurs! Great for all ages not just the age on the box because I'm 31 years old and I can sit there using my imagination and having fun with my son for hours too! Highly recommend for all the dinosaur lovers out there, boys and also girls will love these if they are dinosaur fans. I'm having a Dinosaur birthday party for my son tomorrow and these are going to be the decor for the food table :)

Jumbo Dinosaurs Set is a learning resource. The set comes with five dinosaurs; Tyrannosaurus rex, brachiosaurus, stegosaurus, triceratops, and raptor. The tyrannosaurus rex is eight inches high and seven inches long. Brachiosaurus is nine inches high and twelve inches long. Stegosaurus is eleven inches long and four and a half inches high. Triceratops is eleven inches long and five inches high. Lastly the raptor is four and a half inches tall and seven inches long. The dinosaurs are a hard plastic with no moveable parts. The first thing the kids saw was where the dinosaurs were put together and they complained that they was not real. Also the children complained that they could not put the dinosaurs underwater, and they wanted to play with them in the bathtub but could not. The dinosaurs came in a box fairly sturdy and reusable for storage. The jumbo dinosaurs set comes with an activity guide and it gives numerous facts about each dinosaur. The instruction manual also has activity suggestions. For example act like a dinosaur, design a habitat, and lastly a discussion starters. There are also care instructions in the manual, and it states to clean the dinosaurs with a damp cloth and to dry immediately. Also the toys are not dishwasher safe. The toys are not worth thirty dollars. The dinosaurs could of been made better and moveable.

[Rewarded Review] Big Dinosaurs

My seven year old Granddaughter really enjoys playing with these dinosaurs. This is a set of five dinosaurs. These dinosaurs are pretty big compared to the other ones I have seen. Jumbo describes them pretty well! The T- Rex stands about eight and a half inches tall and the Brachiosaurus stands about ten inches tall! The smallest in the set is the Raptor. It is about six inches tall. These dinosaurs are well constructed. They have no problem standing up on their own even outside in the yard. The detail on these dinosaurs is real good. The paint is good enough to make you wonder if they are hand painted! This set of dinosaurs is great for a child's imagination. They are educational too. My Granddaughter now knows the correct names for these dinosaurs and knows what they looked like. She also knows if they were carnivores or herbivores or omnivores! All in all this is a good educational set of dinosaurs and they are large enough to really see the details and get a good idea what they looked like in real life.

[Rewarded Review] Fun Toy to Supp Your Child's Interest In Dinosaurs

This set of five Jumbo Dinosaurs by Learning Resources is a fun toy for kids in the 3+ targeted age group. While both sexes can enjoy these, little boys are especially intrigued by dinosaurs. I like the size of the size of each of the dinosaurs as they are easy for the kids to hold and large enough that so far my grandson has not been putting the toys in his mouth like he might do with some smaller toys. I’ve already had to wash a couple of them with soap and warm water due to something sticky getting on them and they seem to clean easily. This is generally the type of toy that your child just plays with, the box does include a sheet of suggested activities for learning also. Certainly using these toys in conjunction with dinosaur books you read to your child can also make a “fun thing” a “learning thing”. I was slightly concerned that a couple of the spines on the back of the Stegosaurus were a little sharp, I just filed those edges and they are fine. The stated age group of 3+ is appropriate and I would not let a child much under 3 play with these.

WOW, these Jumbo Dinosaurs are so cool. My five year old grandson loves dinosaurs so these are perfect for him to play with. You get five large dinosaurs. They are all nice size for kids the largest is ten inches tall and eleven inches wide. My grandson thinks they are huge! They all have nice bright colors of rich blues, green, black, yellow and orange. They really seem to be realistic looking. You get a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and a Raptor. They are like a medium hard plastic and yet you can squeeze them. They are also hollow. So they don't recommend immersing them in water. You can wash them off easily though. They can also be a great learning resource. It comes with an activity guide which give a little information on each dinosaur. They are strong and I am sure lasting dinosaurs. They can stand on there own. My grandson plays by himself and also with his sisters. So they are not just for boys, girls love to play with them too. They definitely keep my grandkids entertained and for along time as well. They are so creative and imaginative with these. Heck I even get in there and play with them too. What kid doesn't love dinosaurs!! I definitely recommend these dinosaurs. Great toys! Have fun!
