Malfunctioned and exploded boiling oil

We had this several months and used a handful of times before something malfunctioned (I'm guessing a thermostat? I don't know) and it got dangerously hot and literally exploded. This was so close to a very serious incident, I'm still shaken just thinking about it. Luckily, we only use it outdoors, and luckily no one was standing nearby. We had it heated to fry potatoes when the oil started boiling. I had my husband unplug it immediately, which he did, before taking cover inside. I watched from the glass door as about a minute later, the lid blew off the top of the appliance, and boiling oil shot four or five feet into the air. It was honestly terrifying. It went in the garbage immediately and I will never trust one of these off brands again.

Deep fryer

This deep fryer is very cheaply made the plastic is very flimsy not what I was expecting since my old one I had for over 15 years was a T-Fal very similar looking but my old one was made with higher quality parts. You get what you pay for I guess.

This was the worse deep fryer. Too small, messy and frustrating to clean. The handle sticks out and get caught in everything.

Incredible Machine

Awesome Oil Filtration Deep Fryer. Son Brandon bought this Deep Fryer to help me when I make Meat on the Stick (Ukrainian Dish for Special occasions like Christmas, Weddings, Birthdays etc. Cut my time by 50% no exaggeration. This machine heats up fast and crisps and brown in a unifying overall coating.

Kalorik Oil Filtration Deep Fryer

I make Meat on the Stick (Ukrainian Dish) a few times a year. Christmas, Birthdays, Special events. My son Brandon recently purchased this Deep Fryer and it helped reduce my time substantially as I create this time consuming delicious recipe which I use chicken and/or pork and veal.

I would love to have this 

Cheaper then tfal fryer is decent.

looks good and does not use much oil

Fire hazard

I be had it for a few weeks and it just caught fire in the plug. My son just got burnt unplugging it

I liked the digital timer lets you know when it was ready, in the flip side. Basket is too small. And it did not release the oil as specified.

The fryer itself is good but the tank for filtration does not close tight and the oil flows

Disappointed

The filtration is feature does not work, so it’s really pointless to make this purchase and the bracket handle won’t stay together so food was falling back in oil and when delivered it was soaking wet so I can’t return this item became the items box was peeled off

Love this produce. So easy to keep clean and love how you can store the oil in the fridge when not in use.

not dishwasher safe

this is not dishwasher safe like it says mine broke after 1 wash of only the parts it specifically said in the instructions and wouldnt drain the oil to the storage anymore after that which was the only reason i bought this one. 2nd time i tried and parts broke and it came out dirty still even though it was the only things in there and the grease now has some random layer over it keeping the grease on it that feels gross and slimy.

Steam makes the display non visible

Good fryer, only thing I’m disappointed with is when you’re frying the moisture from the steam make the display non visible. And it would be nice if the cord was a little longer.

Magnetic cord doesn't stay really stick

Everything's ok except for the magnetic cord. It's annoying and doesn't stay in place. I had to put a small box paper underneath for the cord to stay.
