I found these a few years ago and started giving them to my kids elementary teachers. The school mascot is a beaver. The teachers loved the cute useful item for their desks.

The Kastor Pencil Sharpener adds whimsy to an everyday item (assuming you still use traditional pencils and have an occasional need to sharpen them.) It's probably a bit pricey for what it is -- a regular, inexpensive pencil sharpener incased in a solid chrome design. (For this price, you could buy a fancy electric pencil sharpener, but that wouldn't bring you a smile every time you used it.) It definitely feels solid, has a mirror-like finish, and works effectively as a paper weight. I bought one as a gift and couldn't resist buying a second for myself. It looks classy sitting perched on my desk, and is a good conversation piece.
