We love it!

Easy to put together, holds a nice amount of library books. My child is able to pick and choose easily, and put the books back when done. The colors match the toy bins we have- unexpected, but I love it. We will purchase from KidKraft again in the future, great quality items!

Books always tip forward!

I hardly write reviews but i am so dissappointed in this bookcase. I usually really like Kidkraft but this is very poor quality. I have had a sling bookcase for my daughter for years and it has worked great. This one however the books always tip forward and i cannot get them to sit in the slings nicely no matter how i arrange them or how many books I put in. The fabric isnt deep enough to hold the books. I am very bummed!

Exactly what I needed.

This is not a large book shelf, but it's exactly what I needed for my grandchild's nursery. There was limited space under a window and this fit perfectly. The canvas is sturdy and it holds several books, face-out.

Just The Right Size

I was looking for a book holder that didn’t take up a lot of footprint in my daycare and this was perfect. Easy for the children to pick out books. I subtracted a star because when pulling of the number sticker after building it took some of the color/fake wood finish off the bottom baseboard. Luckily it could be turned over to the other side. Overall great purchase!

Nice, holds quite a few books

This is a nice looking product. It was fairly easy to put together but you'll need some strength to get all the screws in. I'm only giving it 4 stars because one of the rods did not have the guide hole right in the center which meant I couldn't line it up exactly to the holes on the sides of the bookcase. I think my husband was able to fix it with a power drill. We were able to put all my sons books in it and it's really cute. It holds quite a few books. Some pockets seem deeper than others.

Great little bookshelf for my 1 year old! He loooves books and this was perfect for him to be able to get them out himself. I'm taking off one star because the pockets are far too deep for the majority of his books--all the little board books you have are not going to show above the edge of the shelf. I ended up taking it apart and sewing the layers smaller myself so that we could put our little 6" books in it and he would be able to see and pull them out. Would be great for school age kids with larger picture books vs board books, and when we get there I'll just take out the seams I added. We do LOVE the colors, and the wall anchor it came with has been plenty sufficient to keep it from tipping onto our baby despite him literally pulling himself up onto it from the floor every day.

I would definitely purchase this product in the future

Excellent Product. Easy to Assemble. Quick Ship time. Our children's Sunday School Class love this bookshelf. Children are able to easily reach and get their books. Great product.

Very good for toddlers

In my experience this sling bookshelf is durable and ver easy for toddlers to use. My little ones appreciated being able to see the full cover of books and to find books they were searching for with ease. For my part, I liked the look of it, how durable it is, and how easy it is for children to put books AWAY when they are done with them. It is the perfect height for toddlers - preschoolers. When my younger child turned four the bookshelf became less appealing, and we passed on to under cousins. These book shelves are very well made and will last through many children - our little cousins will use it for years to come. The only downside is that the canvas sling shelves can get dirty and can't be taken off to be washed, so spot cleaning only. Keep in mind this shelf is not great of you are lacking for space; traditional shelves store 20 times more books in the same amount of shelf space. However, this is perfect for little ones because they can see the whole cover of their books rather than just the spines.

Crooked and now I'm cranky!

I should have listened to the reviews I found on amazon before I bought this poorly made thing from Walmart. Packaging and pick up were great. The unit came with a few scratches I could live with...if it were for being crooked!!!! Don't gamble like I did! The manufacturer if obviously very off and not worth your time or money to gamble getting a non-crooked one.

Great to display and store any books

I was a bit concerned it would not be big enough but it has been great. We bought two, one for children's history books and one for Geography. Very easy to assemble. We have medium/large soft cover and large hard cover books stored in them and it has easily fitted around 30books. With the 30 books, It is snug but still It looks good and is not overcrowded. If you only had softcover books, you could probably fit more.

Holds more than expected!

I am very pleased with the purchase of this bookshelf. Super simple to put together (idiot proof actually). Although, I was skeptical because it is smaller than I expected, but I am happy to say it is holding about 45 books of all sizes! The pockets expand so don't let the picture fool you. It is the perfect height for my 2 year old. I will definitely be purchasing another one for my daughters bedroom.

Great for a playroom!

I have a playroom/homeschool room and this is great for our reading center! The ones through school supply shops or websites are very pricey. This one is excellent and the price was perfect! It's a good size for 5 and under and is a great quality. The fabric is super thick and the sides look great. 4 stars because I have a couple of screw that seem loose but the other 13 tightened so well I don't think it will affect function, and it does wobble a tad which can be fixed with felt on the bottom.

Awesome Bookshelf!

I just purchased this bookshelf for my 2 and 4 year old children. I've been reading reviews on this (and other similar ones# for about a month now, trying to decide which one to get. Like others have said, I was somewhat hesitant to get this, due to the size. I've read reviews saying how it doesn't hold many books- especially board books. My kids LOVE books, so I was worried it would be a waste to even bother getting it- since it's so small. However, after getting it and loading my kids books in it, I'm VERY pleased with the amount of books it holds. I have ours FILLED with board books- currently it's holding 24 books...board books at that. If you were to put paper books in it, it would hold TONS. It was PERFECT for my kids "favorites." I ended up putting some of the HUGE books off to the side, so they didn't take up a bunch of space on the shelves, but it works out just fine! I'm including a picture to show how ours turned out. The kids are soo excited to have a shelf where they can easily access their books #and easily put them back#. To top it off, it definitely seems like a good quality piece to last a long time! I would definitely recommend this product- it does exactly what I bought it for! :)

I just put my new sling bookshelf together, and it looks great! I bought it for my classroom, and am excited to put it in the room since it will match the other wooden classroom furniture pretty well. However, I am disappointed because the two sides do not sit evenly on the floor. I checked it on several surfaces to make sure it wasn't just my floor, but it wobbles a little bit on everything! I will have to put a felt circle on the bottom of one "corner" so that it doesn't move every time a student touches it.
