Review of Auto Safety Master Opener

I had one for years, best opener by far. Bought this one as my friend of many years was talking about buying an opener, electric which was useless, so I got this one as a present, she's overjoyed and wonders why she hasn't seen one before.

Nice opener, misleading colour

Very misleading. The colour for the blue option showed a sky blue opener, which would match everything else in my kitchen. When the item arrived at first I thought the wrong one had been sent as the item appeared to be black, but when I took it under a very bright fluorescent light it was actually a very dark navy. Beware if ordering the blue option.

The best

I bought this some time back and it is the best can opener ever! No mess, no sharp edges on the can or lid and a very handy can pull tool too. At first I thought it wasn't working properly ... you know when the old fashioned can openers had lost their sharpness or bite and you'd keep turning without success, that's how the Kuhn Rikon felt but it was working. You go round once and then, using the little gripper tool on the side, you grip and pull gently and the lid comes away with no food contact with the opener (like the old ones) and not a sharp edge anywhere. It is worth paying for this opener if, like me, you have bought and tried many over the years. Thoroughly recommend.
