Looking for shabby chic?

I'm redecorating my bedroom to shabby chic/French Country. This spread meets the criteria. The color is true to photo. When I took the bedspread out of packaging it had a harsh chemical odor. I washed it and the smell was gone. It's soft and comes with 2 pillow cases.

Exactly what I wanted!

It’s so hard to find affordable bedding that is made of natural fibers and is unique. This spread is cozy but lightweight, perfect for layering. Its neutral design can be highlighted with any other color. It looks great with white, also with chambray and denim accessories.

This beautiful. I love that the pillow covers are center tuck style. They always look nicer. This is a cover not a blanket so it's thin and decorative. I would say thinner than expected but I still like it. Watch the lint filter the first time drying it because there is a lot!

Im not really pleased with this. I washed and dried it before using it and was astounded at the amount of lint in the lint trap of the dryer. After putting it on the bed, theres little balls and strings of cotton all over the place thats coming out of the chenille constantly. I would not recommend this item.

Taupe/Queen-Full Spread using as cover for sofa

I recently purchased an offwhite, angled sofa from Target and wanted to protect it from everyday use with something I could toss into the washer if necessary. I sometimes wish I had ordered the ivory color because the medallion pattern on this spread is large and the contrasting taupe background makes it stand out. But I like that the tufting blends with a shearling accent chair (not shown) that is in this room. The taupe, basically a soft tan color, is nice at least neutral. I thought the fringe edging might give my sofa a little boho look, but it's borderline granny ;-). I plan to repurpose the shams into arm bolsters. This is a woven cotton spread and seems well made but I have not washed or dried it yet, so I can't comment on that. I took away a star just because I felt the price was kinda high for this thin cotton spread.

It's very beautiful but I find myself only needing it as a decoration and less so for actual sleep. The coverlet itself is very well made and quite heavy, which is why I find myself either removing it entirely for sleep or folding it down to the foot of the bed. I would definitely recommend this coverlet for beauty's sake, but would suggest something lighter if you do not sleep with a lot of warm heavy blankets on you.

First off, I am from the 70’s and grew up always having these Chenille blankets. The quality is pretty much the same that I remember. The texture has changed but this is still a good cheap version of what I remember. My only complaint is, the pink color has more of a peach tone. If you have a wall color of white tan or gray, this will look pink. Unfortunately, I have a true pink color in my room. So the blanket looks more peach. The photos kind of reflect that.

Beautiful nostalgia

I love the way the bedspread looks on my bed. I bought a king size for a queen bed because I have a platform frame and a box spring. It’s the perfect size. I bought the bedspread because it reminded me of the beds at my grandma’s house when I was young. The only minor complaint I have is it’s not as soft as I thought it would be. Maybe it will soften with more washes.

1 Star

This coverlet has a very offensive odor, similar to a musty basement. I did not wash the coverlet because I was worried that if the scent didn't come out, I wouldn't be able to return it. It's going to cost $* to return. It doesn't seem very customer friendly to charge to return something that stinks.

Beautiful but unsure of long term durability

This is a stunning set...exactly what I was looking for. It looks expensive even though it isn't. It's lightweight, which was what i wanted. Details are beautiful. My only concern is long term durability with daily use. First wash (done as directed on label) yielded a TON of lint...literally had the lint trap overflowing. That's the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5.

5 Stars

Oh my goodness, let me tell you about this incredible set I just got! It's seriously amazing. The fabric is so soft and cozy, it feels like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. And the design? Absolutely stunning! It adds a stylish touch to my bedroom decor. I can't wait to snuggle up in it every night. Trust me, you need this bed set in your life! 😍🛏️

I purchased a beautiful QUEEN coverlet in open box. Open box is advertised "as is" but is inspected to make sure it's in great condition and sold for a little less. First, the plastic cover's zipper was broken, so I could barely get the item out of the container. The coverlet smelled as if it had been bleached. I guess somebody washed it! It may have been returned because it shrunk. The tag said, "wash on gentle, dry on low." There was a label on the back of the plastic container that said, "full/queen." The item is not advertised as a full/queen or sold in a full--period. It's advertised as Twin, Queen, or King. Someone realized the coverlet was too small to be a queen, which is what I purchased. It's actually too small to be full sized. So, I tried it on my twin sized futon. Fits perfectly--EXCEPT I didn't want or need a coverlet for my futon. Shouldn't the returned items for resale as "open box" BE the item advertised and in the correct size. I have purchased open box items in the past to save a little money as well as a LOT of other items (31 in all) over the years. They are usually in great condition. Integrity really does matter WAYFAIR.

Excellent quality. The color description is “blush”, and is definitely a very pale pink/ peach color. It looks and feels quite vintage with a nice weight and thickness. I washed the coverlet on the delicate cycle and dried on delicate cycle. Quite a bit of lint in the filter, but the coverlet dried without loosing its shape or needing ironing. You’ll be very satisfied with this coverlet.

Not what i expected. Returning.

Unfortunately I’m returning. First thing I noticed was the color. I got the light pink one but it’s more like a coral color so it doesn’t go with my room. In the pictures it looks like a pale pink. Not what I expected. Second, I have a kinda low bed so the sides would drag too much. This usually doesn’t happen with other comforters/quilts so keep in mind this one is just a little bigger. Third, I know I only washed it once but omg it sheds so much. I would wake up every morning with fluffs on my hair. And lastly, it’s kinda warm but very thin at the same time. I feel like is overpriced. Hope this helps!

Beautiful lightweight coverlet well worth the cost

This coverlet is absolutely beautiful! I was looking to replace a chunky comforter (far too hot even in winter) and I came across this coverlet. It is so cozy all on its own and I didn't find it to be "too thin" at all. I wanted to add some texture and a little bit of a boho vibe to my space and this totally delivers! I got the ivory color for my cal king bed, and used a 15% off code. I am so pleased with my purchase, the quality is well worth the price. I washed and dried it on delicate even though it is 100% cotton, it came out beautifully. It did fill my lint trap with fuzz but it is not getting fuzz around as other reviewers stated. I am so inspired to continue updating my room now. (I don't have pillows in the shams yet.. they are beautiful also though!) My bed even looks nice before it's made now!

Everything I hoped it would be!

I love this coverlet! I read a ton of reviews about this on amazon, here and wayfair. Some people complained it was just a chenille sheet, but I find that a little ridiculous. Yes, it is thin... you bought a COVERLET. They are supposed to be thin and this one is beautiful. It looks great laying on top of your regular bedding. Makes my whole room look nicer. I haven't even washed it yet. Just threw it on my bed as soon as it arrived because I couldn't wait. I haven't had any problems with lint getting on my clothes or anything and I have been working while sitting on my made up bed for the last couple weeks now because of ********. There was a slight smell when I first opened the product. It reminded my of the smell of plastic pool blow up floaties during summer, but the smell was only there as I opened it. I think it is actually just the smell of the plastic zip up bag it comes in. It was aired out and doesn't have any order after that first unzipping. Overall I'd say go for it! I got the Taupe on and absolutely love the two tones and how obvious it makes the chenille design. The fringe was the reason I decided on the coverlet instead of the duvet and I'm so happy with the choice. I bought a king for my queen bed so it would lay farther down the sides of the bed and it is perfect. The coverlet is way less of a hassle to put on your bed than the duvet. You can just pull it off, throw it in the washer and dryer and then throw it back on. No having to shove your comforter back inside.
