Fabric stiff even after washing

Thought maybe these would soften after washing. Fabric is probably not best for a napkin function.

Very thin, slippery, barely absorbing anything. Borderline disposable. In my opinion, they’re good for picnics and other casual events. Definitely not suitable for formal dinners
