Even though this island is made out of stone. The stone is not marble as advertised. It seems more like a granite and it was on the gray side and translucent. The package and handling was horrible that it came with a broken corner and Walmart refused to send a replacement unless I return this opened big heavy package which is nearly to impossible by yourself to carry and repackage. The is a seam in the slab which means this piece was glued together from a slimmer piece to another piece to make up for the thickness. Beware of this possibilities and the quality when you purchase. I regret this purchase but what can I do now since it is impossible to return.

Best thing we bought for our new townhouse

Need a work space in kitchen. Fits really well, marble top looks wonderful, sturdy with lots of counter and underneath storage space. Extremely pleased with this

This piece is really amazing considering the price. It is exactly what I was looking for, and the marble is fabulous. The only negative is that it is challenging to assemble, and you do not know it wrong until you try to put the shelves in. I also recommend sealing it ASAP, as marble is a very porous material.
