This works for me. I can use it for my laptop or a book and since it has no bumps I can use it when drawing, too.

Love this little desk. NOTE: There is no ledge to hold laptop.......which is exactly what I wanted. I wanted to use in my recliner to write to friends, grocery lists, etc. Using my computer worked perfectly sitting in my lap/

I wanted something to use to write on as I sat on the couch. I needed it to also cushion impact when I used it underneath a craft project, like felting. This did both purposes. It fits nicely on the shelf underneath my coffee table. I pull it out when I need to write something or work on a craft. The bottom has good cushioning and the top is sturdy. I also really like the color/pattern. Very happy with it.

Excellent to use as a comfortable writing desk/stand to have on your lap. It's sturdy, nice to write on, easy to take around with you as it has a handle to it, and it's lightweight. The only downside is that it is not great for long-term laptop use. Granted, it does hold laptops/Chromebooks of various sizes well, but, it does not help them with ventilation since my laptops overheated after several hours on it. If you use it to place your laptop on, make sure to take it off to give it some breaks so that it can have airflow.

Love my lap desk... so far have only been using it with my laptop and it does a great job keeping my laptop cooler since it no longer is sitting directly on my lap. It is light weight so does not make me too warm when I am using it... so both my laptop and me are cooler!! I am tempted to use it as a little table top when eating in front of the TV but so far have refrained but think I will give it a try one of these days... highly recommend this and just wish I would have gotten one sooner!! Plus it arrived a day or two earlier than it was supposed to... Thanks Best Buy!!

Just the right size

I bought this as a Christmas present for a friend who's trying to replace the lap desk she's had for 25 years. It was the only one I found that was about the same size and did not have a cup holder which she did not want (and doesn't make much sense to me... tip the board and your paper, magazine or computer would be soaking wet).
