Looked good in photo

It accommodates two medium dogs easily. The front door, very poor design and the latch is flimsy. It can be rattled and for a more challenging dog, I would not recommend this crate.

Nice crate.

My only problem with is crate was with the packaging. The tape had opened resulting in some damage, scratches, to the top. The crate was easy to assemble. Very sturdy. My dog is crate trained so I don't worry about him chewing on the crate. It is easily wiped clean. The material reminds me of the Trex type decking. The bars rattled a bit. I put little beads of hot glue in the gap. It was not effecting use of the crate, just driving me crazy when the dog would change positions in the middle of the night. The crate is in the bedroom and I'm a light sleeper.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

assembly was so easy, just 8 plastic bolts, and it looks like an end table! we got the large in gray but it's more like a dove gray, which we like even better. this is 36x24, plenty spacious for our 30 lb beagle to stand up, turn around and stretch. the bars are aluminum so he can't chew his way out. the body of the house is super heavy duty plastic. i say "plastic," but it's quite sturdy. getting it on a half price sale made this even sweeter!

Great Item BIG or small!

I have purchased the large size %26 have it now for 6 years. I purchased the small size recently. Both are sturdy %26 well made. Made from hard plastic %26 can be chewed through should a dog want to destroy it. However, an owner needs to get their canine trained to use a cage %26 all will be well. A dog can also jack up a wire cage IF they are determined. This cage is the best cage around! Decorative too! Parts are available should u need them!

Great

However even if you have a dog that only chews sometimes, it's not good. I have a puppy that is teething and this thing (door) will need to be replaced at some point. I'm also pretty sure that the joint/corners, on the door since, I didn't put them together that was pretty put together, are just straight squared corners. Which may mean I need to replace the whole door and not just screw it down/back together when he eventually will chew the corner caps off. I've had to remove plastic from those caps already. The corner caps suck. It's a poor design choice they should have no corners that aren't even sealed they weren't sealed when I got them. They had active gaps on those corners, it sucks. However other than that it's in really good like side table, thing. It's a little on the bigger side for me to consider it a side table (I got the medium) still very nice. It was okay to put together, the fact that it was already pre put together partially was kind of irritating and made putting it together difficult because one of the pieces weighed probably 40 lb and for me , with a baby, was difficult. So make sure you can handle the weight.

Latches fall off

I love the look of the crates, but they are useless after a short time of using them. We bought two extra large crates for our GSDs. They are crate trained and do not try to get out. The door has fallen off on one from slight pressure of dog leaning on it when turning around at night. On both, I keep having to reattach latches as they continually fall apart. They could be great if they worked. Wasted my money. :(

Keeps my dog in

Lots of people here are giving this a bad review for poor quality. I don’t have an excessive chewer, but he is highly anxious and chews on the bars and scratches the crate. It’s been over a week and he hasn’t managed to break it. I think it’s sturdy enough. I gave it a 4 star because it doesn’t have much ventilation as other crates because the back and top are fully covered, and the sides are partially covered.

Hilariously poor quality

The entire crate is made of corrugated recycled plastic with the exception of the bars. Its held together by 8 plastic screws and two small latches on the door. It lasted about 1 day before my golden retriever had broken the door right at the latch. It has taken a ton of reinforcement to eventually have it not break. At this point it's covered in plywood, slide locks and metal brackets. I cannot stress how insanely cheap this thing is made.

Very nice, Looks Good sturdy for NORMAL use

I received this and was able to put it together pretty easily. I got the medium size for two smaller dogs to share. It’s very good looking. I’ve had compliments from people that came into the house. I will say I was concerned from other reviews that indicated that it was flimsy or that the dog chewed through it, etc. The real reality is if you have a puppy or a dog that has a chewing problem or is very rambunctious then you probably need a metal crate. This is attractive and sturdy for normal well-behaved dogs that get out regularly and don’t try to eat furniture. It just depends upon the animal to determine what is needed. My boys are quite happy in it and got a lovely bed to put inside and it looks great and they seem to like it It will last for years

Sorry, Cheap, Flimsy Crate

The crate is made of a cheap plastic and hollow aluminum bars. I should've packed it back up and shipped it back to the company, but I decided to give it a chance.

Pretty but not durable

Recently my dog developed a bit of separation anxiety and started pulling apart his wire crate. I bought this crate thinking since it didn’t have wire bars for him to pull he wouldn’t destroy it or escape. However, because this is made of plastic he was able to chew around where the steel bars are located enough to dislodge 2 of the bars which created a big enough opening for him to escape within 2 weeks of having this. This crate is pretty and I really wanted it to work but it is not for dogs with separation anxiety or who are not very well crate trained. I think the design should be changed to better secure the steel bars.

Nice but has weaknesses

First off this crate looks nice. Much better than just the wire crates. The problem is the material and hardware. It is held together with plastic screws. So if your pet doesn't like crates this isn't for you. One of the pieces which is just glued together was broken. The manufacturer sent a replacement without any problem and in a timely manner. The material also scuffs easy. There are several scuff marks just from rubbing against the packing material in transport. It is packed well and protected from damaging other pieces but that packing material left several marks on many of the pieces. I tried to use a stain marker to clean up the scuffs but it didn't work well. Don't know if that is due to the material or the stain stick. There are also some gaps between pieces. The most noticeable is the floor. It has about 1/2" amount of room to slide around once it is placed inside. Assembly is really easy and took me less than half an hour. Chewy did give me a store credit due to the minor damage so plus on them for good customer service. Maybe if I requested a complete new one it wouldn't have had the minor damage but it wasn't worth the hassle of packing everything back up and taking it somewhere to ship back. If you have a well crate trained dog and want something that looks like furniture then I still think this is a good options despite all the minor things I mentioned.

Flimsy and Unstable

I'm only glad I didn't buy this for the LAUGHABLE price of $500+ because I was shocked when we started to put it together how cheap the material, how unstable it all is with it's few "screws" (plastic nobs). The plastic "wood" snapped while we were putting it together in several spots. All night the whole thing rattled around when the puppy moved at all. It's clearly not going to work when the dog get's bigger.

Size Small is Great for Small and/or Toy Dogs

We have four Papillons. For the most part these crates fit the bill; we have four. For those concerned about the plastic screws, just wrap a strip of plumbers tape on the threads of each screw and tighten until snug but don't over tighten. Our fifth crate arrived damaged and Chewy accepted our return with no complications. I am really becoming a big fan of Chewy! No hassle returns! They stand by their Customers and their Products! NOTE: I would NEVER crate ANY dog that has a chewing issue: start them out in a wire crate and once trained you can move on to the furniture crates. It is their den and they should feel happy and secure, not try to escape. Hope this works for you and your dogs as well as it works for ours!

Perfectly, Imperfect.

This little crate is cute. I should've ordered a bigger one as the small is a little tight, even for my 12 week old pup. He likes it though. However, the pieces were chipped up and scratched quite a bit. Considering the pup is going to do that anyway, I'm not complaining, but it should've been better for $90.

Nope, Never again

My puppy was 4 months old when we bought a large size kennel for her. Within 3 months the door was destroyed. First off the screw that held the bottom locking mechanism on the outside kept falling off. Soooo annoying. And then due to her scratching at the door she was able to destroy the PLASTIC door (go figure) where it inserts into the top. So now the door is useless therefore the kennel is useless and it happened all within 3 MONTHS. If I had taken the time to read that there was plastic in this kennel I would have NEVER bought it. You can’t kennel train puppies with plastic. And we always put chew toys in the kennel with her so she had entertainment, just FYI.

I bought two of these. They looked beautiful and they were easy to put together. My dogs loved them and would willingly go in to take their afternoon nap. However, it only took one day for a bout of separation anxiety by my small boxer to destroy it and break out. The bars broke the composite eco flex material. I believe the manufacturers and creators highly under estimate dogs and their abilities. The bars are aluminum. Don't they know how strong dog jaws are? Looking for a new sturdier one with the same look. The look is what they got right .

Not a lifetime (doggy) crate.

So our 25lb Whoodle was able to bite through the bars and the wood piece they are attached to and get out.
