The Heron picture is so awesome. It is metal so dont expect perfection but the quality is very good. It has so much dimension and is so different that I absolutely love it. We live on a lake and it looks just great in our Master bedroom above our bed. You wont be sorry! I would buy this over and over

Exactly as I expected

I live on the Washington coast and I love this wall art piece for it's size, material and whimsey. I was looking for something slightly industrial to hang by my husband's desk and this was perfect. I was able to hang it myself using anchors and screws, but 2 people would probably be best just because of the size. It seems well made and was packed in lots of bubble wrap.

Each one is definitely different

The herons wall art is well made for a hand crafted piece of art. Unfortunately, I was counting on less silver and more teal as shown online. The background on my piece was darker with no streaks of lighter brown on the top half and only streaks of green on the lower half. The quality was fine and I am considering keeping it, pulling in more of that green into my room. Be prepared for differences

Even better than I thought it would be

I loved the picture of the product but it was just so much better in person. We love it and our neighbors do too.

A UNIQUE PIECE OF ART

I PURCHASED THIS AS I WANTED SOMETHING OTHER THAN A PAINTING FOR SOME WALL SPACE THAT NEEDED A LITTLE SOMETHING SPECIAL. SOMEONE HAD TO HAVE COME UP WITH THIS IDEA SO I APPLAUD THEM FOR THAT. IT IS HEAVIER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. (I DIDN'T THOROUGHLY READ THE DESCRIPTION BUT I LIKE THAT IT IS HEAVIER THAN EXPECTED.) I GUESS IT COULD BE CONSIDERED INDUSTRIAL BUT I'M USING IT TO COMPLIMENT THE FEMININE OR ROMANTIC PAINTINGS IN THE ROOM. IT IS ALSO A BLANK SLATE AND I'M GOING TO FIND A WAY TO PUT SOME COLOR INTO IT TO ADD WHIMSY. I'M PLAYING WITH THE IDEA OF PUTTING A DIFFERENT COLORED BOW TIE ON EACH BIRD.

Better in person

I read all the reviews I could find on this piece of art. I kept returning to Overstock to look at it and finally purchased it. It is more attractive in person. Because it has a handmade quality there will be elements of a painterly effect and not quite "perfect" edges. It's what I hoped for. Some reviewers said their background was all dark, but mine has some green. The birds are more reflective in light than what you see on screen. In the photos we have a dark green painted wall and LED lights are off to the right.

Product is not what it is advertised to be

I was very disappointed that the product I ordered was not the product I received. I purchased this specifically for the greens and golds on the back panel, as shown in this picture, and the quality of the design of the herons. What I received was a mostly black background, and the herons are more cartoonish. When I called to see informed them they shipped the wrong one, they said the one I received is the only one they sell now. They need to remove the misleading picture. The one I got is still okay, but I am not happy with their deceptive advertising.
