I did spray on the lacquer to protect the copper sheen. I wish this was not as deep because it’s going to be very heavy with plants.

galvanized steel with a very thin copper electroplating. There were small rust spots on it (rust as in iron, not copper patina) in the corners upon arrival. I was able to blend it in with an ammonia and salt patina to make it brown, then coat with lacquer. If you do this, use a copper lacquer, normal wood lacquer does not prevent ongoing oxidization and it would be rusted through eventually.

Beautiful but rusts within 6 months

These were gorgeous for roughly 6 months, but have started rusting on both sides of the side walls. I am very disappointed in the quality for the price.
