Really big
I have a long flight for my dog do I got both the half&half bowl & the water only. They just barely fit side by side on a large kennel
My pet had a good reaction to this product and there were no adverse effects.
Love this product so convenient
The quality and the convenients to fill up from out side without having to open the kennel to refil the water. No risk for pet to escape. Very good product thanks for having it available.
Cage water bowl
This cage water bowl is a great idea, but the fountain doesn't have enough space to fit correctly on the cage. The best part of the bowl must be crooked to work. I bought 4 and none of them fit between the cage wires correctly. I am still searching for a good cage bowl.
Waste of Money
Cheap plastic. It broke on the first day. Don't bother. Sharp plastic in a dog kennel/crate is a bad thing. And, yeah, when it broke, it did spill the water.
Nice product
It took a minute or two to figure out how to place the clip onto the crate properly. Once the clip is in position, the bowl fits nicely and doesn’t move much, no spills. But the knob that holds the bowl in place is a bit difficult to loosen up when it’s turned tightly.
Ok for some crates, but not for others
I bought three of these because my metal kennel bowls were starting to rust (why would something made for holding water be capable of rusting!!!). Anyway, the attachment for pouring water into the bowl section from outside the crate did not fit over the crate rungs on two of the three crates, so I could not use them. Another thing I don't like about the bowl (and I should have realized this before I bought them) is that you have to totally dismandle the thing and remove it from the crate in order to wash the bowl. If your dogs are a little sloppy--like mine--you probably have to do this every day. All in all, not a particularly good design.
Does not fit heavy duty wire kennel
I have an 80lb lab that spills a traditional water bowl in his kennel. So I got this thinking “it works universally on wire kennels”. I should have read more reviews. Because the wires of my kennel are heavy duty, the bowl does not sit flush and is wobbly. I don’t even want to try and put water in it or leave my lab alone with it. I do not recommend unless you have a dainty wire crate.
LEAKS FROM BEGINNING
the crate was SOAKED as it leaked with CAREFUL pouring, let alone a normal pour likely to be done by airport staff... and no way it will hold up to being bumped by dog! I suppose it could hold food if I drill holes and use ties to keep it on the crate door but otherwise worthless. if I put holes obviously its no longer a water bowl but can't see how I could easily attach it without holes and ties... buy something else! Chewy don't sell these anymore!
Love to play in water dish
This solved the problem. Two young pups thought the water bowl was for playing and splashing and what a mess they made. This is small but hangs on tightly to the pen. It’s positioned in a way that prevents pawing. Very durable to their attempts to chew it or remove it.
Awful!!! Do NOT fit ALL CRATES!!!
These bowls DO NOT FIT ALL CRATES! They require a specific crate to be used. I ordered 18 of them for my herd, and I am RETURNING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! They DO NOT SIT FLUSH against the crate...They are NOT made for SMALL CRATES! I didn't even waste my time checking out the larger ones. It was supposed to be a convenient way to do water for ALL crates. I put ONE on, and to REMOVE it was ACTUALLY ANOTHER HORROR in itself! I was barely able to unscrew it once I had it on! It was supposed to be easy to use for watering outside the crate, as well as making it easier to remove for cleaning. ABIG, FAT ZERO on BOTH COUNTS!
Doesn't fit well
I am using this on my dog crate, however it is not able to attach with the part that you can poor water into to fill bowl. It is too wide to fit through the cage door. So I have it hanging without that piece and it is not super stable but still works. I am keeping it.
Wire crates?
These bowls are OK but if your wire crates are sturdy and have strong wires the chances are the 'funnel' attachment won't fit as the space for the wire is too narrow for stronger crates.
so far so good
This has worked well to provide our crate-trained pup with water whenever he wants. So far there has been no issues with it falling off or spilling, even though he's pretty rambunctious.
Disappointing
Though the concept looked great, the execution was not. The brittle type of plastic used for every part is not suitable for this item. The "caps" used to screw the cu to a crate have small "teeth" that may secure the cup, but are very hard to unscrew! If I had thought this through, you want to change water daily AND rinse/wipe the interior, so the design of pouring from the outside isn't even needed! The hard, ribbed caps hurt my fingers as well! I bought 10 of these for my Rabbitry. I will just be using them as food dishes so I don't have to change as often. Very disappointing.
Not for chewers
Well this little bowl is pretty cool. Maybe best for cats or smaller dogs. But definitely not for any dogs that may chew it. It is a thinner plastic. But the concept is really nice. Very easy to fill and fits tight on kennel. Unfortunately mine didn't even last 12 hours. Ugh
Great value
Bowl attaches to side of wire crate very securely. My senior arthritic foster pug hasn’t been able to spill any water in her crate and she loves being able to get a drink whenever she wants when she’s crated.
Good option
This water holder is a good option but the design is a bit flawed. My border collie puppy seems to get it unscrewed from the crate every other day! I did move it so it was basically on the floor of her crate and that helped a ton
Ok but not real durable
I thought this would be more durable. It will work for my mature adult dogs but not for the younger pups. They are already trying to chew it.
So far, so good!
Honestly, I was a little skeptical buying this because it's plastic and my dog likes to chew everything; but so far, she has not gnawed on this at all, and it does stay upright without issue. She has not knocked it over or broken it, and it's been on there for about a week now. Putting the bowl on the crate is also extremely easy, and is easy to refill with water. I have not experienced the bowl sagging over time. Overall I am very impressed with this and continue to plan on using it. The price was not bad, either!
