Not Great.

Its cheap falls apart easily; not stable. Not very strong breeze from this. Base doesn't stay locked in place do it isn't as tall as they claim.

Took less than 5 minutes to put together, works just fine. I had basically the same Lasko fan 10 years ago and just got rid of it, it was mostly made of metal and heavy duty plastic. This new one is all thin plastic. I don't know how long it will last. The strange thing is, 10 years ago I paid the same price as this new one. Guess that's what inflation does, more expensive and cheaper materials.

[Rewarded Review] white 16"oscillating stand fan by Lasko

l hve bought this brand fans numerous times for myself and for young family members starting out on their own. l have never hd a problem and if my grandchildren have they haven't told me. l truly believe you won't have any problems either but be sure and get the extra warranty just in case.

Buyer Beware

This fan came to me without the fan motor which also has the control panel on it, and no remote control. It’s like the 2 most important pieces just decided to leave, and did not show up. I am going to buy the same fan again, but this time I going to buy it on Amazon!!!

Has a scraping noise when turning on and off. Works fine when running. Kind of annoying though. Took back apart to make sure I assembled correctly. Kind of hard to get wrong, very simple.

Lasted over 5 years in very harsh environment

I used this fan in a green house to keep airflow going between plants and from moisture cause rot on my fruit. SO this fan has been constantly wet/damp, running 24/7 7 days a week pretty much and it just now died and it took it over 5 years to do so. I have to say thats pretty impressive due to the constant running , 88 degree temps, moisture, water, dirt and dust in the air always oscillating too. If you want a fan that lasts. This one is hard to beat, especially for the price point.

Works, but features are faulty.

The telescoping arm doesn't want to stay in place, even with the nut completely (and I mean completely) tightened dead. I can still move the arm up and down with small effort. Hopefully it will stay in place if I just leave it alone.

Lasko had to send me the base. It was missing from the box. I wrote to them, got a base from them for a different fan. I bought a part and set this fan up. I was extremely disappointed. All plastic parts, poor quality. It literally fell apart in 20 minutes of using it. Wrote Lasko, they said I had to return it to wayfair and no response. Awful experience.

Simple easy to assemble fantastic Fans

I'm very pleased with my fans. I didn't need all the fancy lights and timer. I'm a very simple person. The price was fantastic. They came so quickly😊 I was updated with status of order every day. They came a day earlier than expected. Very easy to assemble. Big big plus. As I am not the handiest with tools. Thank you overstock for making this purchase so easy to do. Will be using you again. First time ordering and not the last.

CHEAP MADE - SHOULD BE LESS EXPENSIVE

THIS FAN IS MOSTLY PLASTIC AND CHEAPLY MADE. ALTHOUGH IT WORKS FINE FOR NOW, I DON'T EXPECT IT TO LAST VERY LONG. IT HAS A METAL ROD THAT ADJUSTS BUT THE BLADE IS NOT VERY WIDE SO OUTPUT IS POOR. THE CONTROL FOR OSCILLATION IS HARD TO PULL UP AS IT HAS NOTHING TO GRASP IT WELL. I PAID 30.00 FOR THIS AND I THINK IT IS ONLY WORTH HALF THAT FOR THE POOR MATERIALS.

Well it came scuffed up (appeared to be used) the part that held on the fan blade was stripped so I glued it on. The motor was excellent and blew very strong. Wayfair's Customer Service was excellent and offered to replace it or I could return it for a full refind.

Not Quiet

Right off the bat I'm very disappointed. This fan is so cheaply made, everything is plastic. It claims it's a quiet fan but it's not at all, even on the lowest setting it's loud. I've had many standing fans over the years, none of which costed this much and worked so poorly. For the money this product is definitely Not a good value.

Pretty well designed, but only usable if you throw away the fan cage.

The frame and the stand are well designed. The base is broad enough to provide stability, with no likelihood of it turning over. Its plastic construction makes it lightweight and easy to move. The motor head fits easily and solidly onto the frame. However, the two piece clamshell cage that encloses the fan (from the front and back) DRASTICALLY impedes the airflow, and it creates a LOT of EXCESS NOISE. I had to take the fan cage off and discard it to make the fan usable. (Of course this leaves the spinning plastic fan blades exposed - a safety hazard.) If Lasko would redesign the clamshell fan cage (so that it does not impede airflow, and does not generate unacceptable noise) I would give this fan a FIVE-STAR rating.

Make sure you realize the height

Functions perfectly well and is quiet. Easy to assemble. Price point was economical. Just make sure you check the measurements and make sure it's what you want. The blade size is fine. The picture made it look like a floor fan. However, it is much shorter than I thought it would be. My fault - I should have gotten a tape measure and checked the height. Just a warning to check.

I ordered this one because it's made in the U.S. and because it said the primary material is aluminum - I thought I could find a scrap metals recycler for some of the parts when it ends its useful life. But the fan is mainly plastic - only the bottom tubes are aluminum. It's also very flimsy and top-heavy and when I went to move it, the top came off and the whole thing stopped working even after I put it back together. This was during the second time I've ever used it!

Good value, relatively quiet, Made in USA

I have found some of the 5 narrow blade fans to produce more noise and less air movement than older 3 blade designs, and was looking for a 3 blade design with larger surface area on the blades when I purchased the Lasko.

Works great for a week...

We've bought two of these in the last year. They work fine enough at first, then the blade assembly seems to misalign. The fan gets very wobbly and doesn't seem to cool much at all after that. So frustrating. I mean, if you're sweltering in a heat wave, it might work really well for a week, but don't count on any long-term use of this. You definitely get what you pay for.

Flimsier Than Older Models by This Brand

I can't really comment on how well this fan performs, I'm not using it regularly yet, but I was very disappointed to see the decline in quality construction by this brand. I have two Lasko fans from about the late 1990s that are still going strong, keeping my fingers crossed that continues, they are great, sturdy, well made fans, but this new model is very flimsy and light in comparison. I'm hoping the performance is still there despite the cheaper construction. Time will tell.

I have several Lasko fans with this styling, they cost a couple bucks more, but they are better value for the following reasons: Motor speeds are higher, materials used to make these other fan's are thicker, fit and finish are better. On the pro side, this fan is slightly quieter (makes sense due to smaller rpm motor). Lasko makes decent high value fans in this style, but his one, although very reasonably priced, lacks the quality of Lasko's other fans priced $10 to $15 more.
