Quiet, space saving but …

I had been looking for something compact for my pretty small room to cool me down during the summer, and I trust Lasko for quality products. Well, this fan is everything I could have asked for barring a few things! Set up was quick (i had another person help me balance the fan on the stand for assembly), and the remote control option is nice. It is super quiet, and this is a major plus for me as I don’t really like too much white noise and fans like that hurt my cat’s ears. I’ve found it isn’t very strong even on the highest setting, and doesn’t really cool down my room but makes it a bearable temperature anywhere above 80° (on the second floor of an old house with no A/C). My only problem is that it has begun rattling randomly after less than a month of owning this fan; the rattling stops after 5 or so seconds, but continues on and on.

Nice Fan!

This is a nice fan, I would purchase it again for the price. It works well, and it’s quiet enough, but not quite as quiet as I was hoping for. I can’t complain though, it was $20 less than when I have that’s quieter, and let’s face it, you get what you pay for. The noise level is a nice white noise.

I thought that the fan would be a cheap looking model but I couldn't afford more than I spent. When I got it together, which was easy by the way, it worked like a superior model. The fan speeds were perfect as I use them for air control in a room for my birds. It was another unexpected surprise at the quality of the product at that price. Very nice.

Excellent quality! Our third floor is always hot. This helps relieve some heat. Quiet and powerful! Bought a black one years ago. Now I bought a white one. Very easy to assemble, no tools needed! Thank you!

Best fan ever

I have used this brand for over a decade. They work great %26 I’ve never had one break. The remote is easy to use %26 attaches to the unit when not in use. The base attaches with no tools needed. I won’t purchase any brand but Lasko

The air output from the fan is adequate and it oscillate; however, the force of the air could be a little stronger. Assembly was easy since it was just the base that had to be attached to the rest of the fan.

Not enough air blowing out

This fan is quiet. The volume of air that is produced, at any speed,is very low. I can’t tell the difference in the three speeds because they all seem to be on very low speed.

It is what it is, just a fan. What I'm not completely satisfied about is the delivery. I got it as scheduled, but on the delivery date it was raining, the driver left the delivery less than 5 feet from the stoop of my door leaving it to get rained on. This is a complete lack of common sense and ignorance.

a very happy customer indeed. the sun beams in my windows and in the winter it's wonderful, but the summertime can get so warm in my apartment even with the shades closed and curtains drawn shut. it was really hard to sleep at night because of the temperature outside staying in the 70's and 80's. this is the perfect fan for small spaces like bedrooms , I have one in my living room and it does a wonderful job so this one is in my bathroom, my niece has the same problem and she has a small baby, so I bought her one it's coming to her house tomorrow, i know she will be happy to have it since she has used mine her and the baby sleep in my bed when they visit, and I'm happy to be able to do this little thing for her.

Great tower fan for small and midsized rooms.

I have owned an older model of this fan for over a decade. I have dragged it with me everywhere. It's been abused and neglected more often than not. It has always held up well, continued working, and most important of all, was effective. Knowing that I invested in a new one, the only real difference being and more modern remote. The new one operates as good as the old one. It works very well in a small to midsize room or when you need to direct air to a specific area. Glad I bought it.

It's white and has a small footprint

This fan meets one criteria I wanted. It is mostly white. But the cord and the remote are black. And that is just irritating. It would benefit a lot from having a white cord for the looks. The photo here does not really show that the vent grid is silver matching the LASKO lettering on the medallion. The blades inside are black so it's a bit more contrast than the photo. This fan is not quiet and does not move much air. It does have a small footprint. It serves one use in my home, to blow air six feet away over the person at the kitchen sink without blocking a door. It can do that. It is a very weak fan, I cannot see using this in a large room. i do not think it is suitable for a bedroom as it is loud, especially for the small amount of air it moves. Or rather does not move. I think I have mentioned that. Setting one is almost useless, it has to be on #2 or #3. I'm not sure if it is by design or by defect, but it does not oscillate through a very wide angle, maybe 45 to 60 degrees at most. It was very easy to put together, less than five minutes and very obvious. You can't clean it easily as nothing comes apart, so plan on compressed air to dust it out. It doesn't seem all that sturdy. This is my first LASKO brand fan and it is underwhelming. Don't expect too much.

I bought this when my air conditioning went out during a heat wave. I have asthma and it was so hard to breathe with my old box fan plus that thing makes a racket the neighbors can hear. This takes up less real estate, is super quiet, really moves the air and makes the room more comfortable. Even on high you can still watch tv without busting out eardrums. You couldn't do that with my old box fan! The remote is excellent but in honestly we've rarely used it. I expect that it will get more use in time but right now, we tend to turn it on and leave it alone. But I love that the remote stays attached until I need it. My family has a habit of losing everything!! This way they can't, but I'm sure they will try. The functions are all very easy to operate and it was a very quick job to put together. I've had cereal boxes that were harder! Writing this review, I might have convinced myself to buy another one!

Powerful cooling, easy assembly, remote control

I was somewhat worried when it arrived because it didn't appear as sturdy as expected based price and reviews. It's very easy to assemble and although I felt better about the overall sturdines, I still felt it chould be better quality for the price.

Not a true white otherwise good.

I purchased the fan a week ago. It works well and is quiet. I wanted a white fan that would look more aesthetically pleasing and match our decor. The white fan was significantly more expensive than the black version. I was disappointed when we opened it because it isn’t a true white. It is a light gray or a dirty white at best. I was also surprised that the remote didn’t really match the fan. It works well but again the color is off. I am going to keep it only because our other fan broke and I don’t want to return and order something else.

Sharp, functional, not quiet enough

I had a Honeywell Quietest 5 speed that worked perfectly that was years old. Had to replace and their newer model was cheaply made, did not produce the same cooling at the lower speeds and was not quiet, so the hunt began for a new fan. This got good reviews so decided to try. Love the look, well made and functions are all I need. Does produce the airflow needed at the lower speeds I need. The ONLY drawback was the noise level. It seems like its gotten louder as the week's gone by, the motor, and it wakes me up at night, I have to turn it off. Regrettably, I will be returning it.

I've owned several Lasko tower fans and heaters over the years and have never been disappointed. I normally have a heater or fan in the bedroom and another in the living room year 'round to cut down on utility costs. Living in Southern California means dealing with the katabatic winds known as the Santa Anas. Generally, they begin in the late summer and last into early fall, and - to put it mildly - they suck! Now, it's only mid-June as I write this, but within a couple weeks the temperature will start to climb into the 80°s, by the end of July we'll be in the 90°s, August & September will see us in the 100°s. Let me tell you... I. Hate. Being. Hot. Especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. As it happens, my old fan took a dump last week, which sucked but at least at least it wasn't 90-fricken-degrees outside, and I had ample time to replace it. This one was very reasonably priced ($38) and I liked that it has a remote control, my old one didn't. This fan was easy to assemble and works well. At speed level 1, it's very quiet. At level 2, it's a still-pleasant white noise. At 3, it's more noticeable, but not so much that it bothers me. Thing is, it's less powerful than my old fan. It's level 3 (highest setting) is equivalent to level 2 on the old one. Thankfully, I also own one of those big round floor fans that blow just shy of tornado-creating, so I'm prepared. Overall, this tower fan looks good and works well, I love the remote control and am glad I paid less than what I would have at Target or Home Depot. I just wish it had a better blow. Yes, feel free to finish that off with, "That's what he said."
