Very sturdy shelf and no too wide. I have it 5 years and still looks just as good as the day I bought it. Very easy to assemble.

We liked it so well we purchased another Gilsgrove bookcade!

We liked the Gilsgrove modern and clean looking bookcase so well, we purchased another one to go alongside it. We can change the decor as the seasons change or if we just have a burning desire for a change!

Good Value, Easy to Assemble

Relatively easy to put together on my own. Sturdy, easily adjustable and the finish is very nice. I don’t feel like I paid too much. I’m super happy with this shelf.

These look great! Very sturdy. The only reason they aren't 5 stars is because you had to drill your own hole for the cross bars because the predrilled ones didn't match up. And the wall mount is literally a zip tie! However I would totally buy them again

Wood bookcase

This bookcase is very nice looking, it’s metal and dark gray wood shelving. Wood shelves are very solid. Fairly easy to assemble, but not very sturdy. I made sure all the bolts are tight but bookcase is still wobbly, it does come with a set to anchor to the wall.

a great buy

easy to install and it looks beautiful, a great addition.

It is a bit darker than the picture - the metal is black, the shelves are a dark brown/espresso. We love the look however, it was very hard to put together. So recruit someone handy to help! It took about an hour to finally get the holes to line up on the last two pieces of metal in the back. Be sure to follow the directions very closely and have two people to do this assembly. Keep all the bolts very loose til you get them all in and lay the shelf down flat to do the last two pieces. Also once it's up, it doesn't feel super sturdy. So I'm not sure I'd buy this if I had small children or a very active dog!! Other than all that, we do think it is a reasonable value for the price!

Decent for price

After a modification go the cross bars in the back(they didn’t line up like everyone else’s) this will be great for our game/bar area. Not as heavy as I would have liked but for the price it’s decent. Shelves are much darker than picture.

Great looking bookcase once its all assembled. Pretty sturdy too. Caution when assembling, the metal frame scratches/scuffs pretty easily so assemble on carpet or use something to protect it.

Beautiful bookcase

This bookcase is perfect for our office! It’s beautiful & holds a ton of books. It didn’t get a 5-star rating cuz the holes weren’t lined up to attach the second stabilizing crossbar on the back of the bookcase so it’s wobbly. We attached it to the wall for safety.

Color Not The Same

The wood shelves are black and not a dark brown as shown in all of the photos. Easy to assembly until you get to the cruising bars on the back. If it weren’t for my husband bending the metal like a marvel superhero it would have never went together. Terri star product in light on both of these factors.

Look great

I would not buy this..I bought 2 thinking they looked sturdy. They are not. They are not worth the money.
