Don't leave outside all year

Product is used for our dog in the darker areas of the yard. This is the second one purchased. Had it attached to a tree/over time the plastic cracked from weather so purchased another to keep a little more cover for it. Lights up a small area for 2-3 minutes with motion

Not even a year, it already went kaput!

I've this not even a year. It flickered after a minute it's on, then died. Or on other days, it would light very faint like it wasn't fully charged. It was installed directly under the sky so sun will always shine and charge it. Compared to another one I have installed like 2-3 yrs ago, that one is still going strong, no problems. But this newer one, it sucked. I don't know if I can still return this or have it replaced. I hope i still can.

Bright and illuminates for about 30 seconds when motion is detected. Security light blinks red when idle so it is always "working" like a hard-wired camera. Currently, we have ours operating with the ground stake but will most likely opt to mount with the screws provided. And this is important, make sure the light is toggled to the "on" position or it will not charge! Overall, great solar security light that operates like a hard-wired one.

Very effective !!

I am using this light for more then 1 year now, and I am surprise of its great features like; durability, and the brightness of light, and stand-by flashing red LED !!!! . Motion sensor works very well, too. Light is mounted on the Southern wall of my backyard, so even during the Winter time, it is enough daylight and sunlight to fully charge its internal battery via solar panel.

flimsy!!!!

a plastic piece of junk. full stop. returning today .Bought yesterday . this will not stand a east coast winter for sure unless you put it indoors. the connection from the light to the mounting bracket is flimsy and the light feels loose. the wind will play havoc on it. Frankly its the cheapest flimisest solar powered light |i have ever bought.

very good light after 4 years ,still works perfect

very bright light ,very dependable , and reason i say that is that i have had the light outside for 4 years and it still just as bright as day i got it . only thing is the sun faded the solar part but it still works great . Worth money and they other cheaper ones but they don't last . If it was dark i take picture maybe i can come back . good light

Bright Idea

I bought this for my porch. I live in a rural area and it's to dark to see out there. This is really bright and lights up the area if anything is moving. My son suggested I get a second one for my side door for coming in at night. They are the best thing so simple to install no wiring no batteries they run on solar power.

Works so well I bought another

I bought another 250-lumen 4-Watt Solar LED Spotlight with Motion Sensor to replace one I had purchased about 3 years ago. The one being replaced had worked very well with no problems at all for the entire time since I mounted it, and would probably still be working effectively had a falling limb not broken it off of its mounting. No complaints and definitely recommended.

The included spiked post allowed me to plant this baby where it gets direct sunlight from sun up to sundown and it stays on or available to shine light on a moving person or animal or whatever via motion activation.

I find this particular solar powered light to be pretty effective. It can be mounted to a post or on the side of your house. The included spiked post allowed me to plant this baby where it gets direct sunlight from sun up to sundown and it stays on or available to shine light on a moving person or animal or whatever via motion activation.

When installing, both the mounting plate top and the turning dial-swievel cracked as I was tightening just using my hand. Now, I cannot tighten spotlight to stay in place. Very poor craftmanship. I asked B&H customer service to send me those two parts and they responded the same way as you. "How do you like our product". If you do not respond I will be very dissapointed. I cannot send back because it is already installed on the house outdoor awning.

Bell + Howell 500 luman Motion Sensor

This is definitely worth the money. I put it out in my flower area where I seen some deer tracks.. I have a 5 ft fence around my garden anyway and when the light comes on it scares them off. It's it's bright I love it. I'm fixing to buy about three more and put around my home.

The illumination is wonderful. The bracket is brittle plastic and if you put too much pressure it cracks. I ordered two the first one I did OK and it’s up and working does what it needs to do the second one I cracked the bracket and I had to superglue it back together so that I could use it

Poor solar panel mount design

I found this light to be of a poor design. The solar panel is on a fixed swivel which is not conducive to charging the battery if the light is pointing north. The solar panel mount could have been designed with a ball swivel to allow the panel to be pointed at the sun regardless of the direction the light is mounted.

safe affordable security lighting

These lights were easy to install, they were affordable and most importantly, these lights make me feel safer at night. I like that these lights have a blinking red light on them to make people believe that this is also a camera and I feel that this feature helps ward off more problematic situations.

Solar lights

These were a gift I would not recommend them there plastic and they were broken when they came . You couldn't fix them because there plastic and the plastic is broke. The second one the slot panel part will not tighten up so you can leave it in a sun catching position I think it's stripped. I ordered before Christmas they said out of stock then all of a sudden they came and that's how they came broken. There were a gift for my daughter . I will never buy these again .

Not Bad, Works Well Overall

Mounted it in an area where it will get some weather, and so far is still working OK after a week with snow landing on it. It's winter in Manitoba and we're not getting much daylight, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised if it's struggling to stay on for more than maybe 10 seconds right now. Only 4 stars for 2 reasons:

Great for the price

These are great lights when they get enough sun! They have to be in direct sunlight all day otherwise they will not work. Even if it's a cloudy day they will not have enough battery power for when it gets dark. It's nice that there is a red blinking light so they do look like cameras which could be a deterrent for people lurking around. Only thing I wish was a bigger batter storage that it lastest longer so that if there are a few days of cloudy they still work.

Excellent strong light, with a great sensor. Be careful though as it is fragile. While I was mounting the second one, it dropped to the grassy ground below and the plastic part holding the two pieces together (light and solar panel) almost cracked in half. I ended up duct taping it together, careful not to cover the solar panel on top, mounting it and it working fine.

We shall see I hope

Bought to replace a motion sensor light that lasted 3 yrs. Both solar powered, this one trying to mimic a camera with a flashing red spot after sundown. Not all motion has been picked up even though it expressly state's it's better functioning with across the front motion. More tests to follow.
