Great! Only one that doesn't make LED's flicker

I tried several dimmer switches with my Luminus PPS144C4 recessed LED fixtures but all of them would make the lights have a slight flicker - including the ones recommended as being "compatible" in the manual. This however is the only dimmer that truly works without flicker that I've tried. I thought I'd have to use the reverse phase mode based on my research but nope - the default forward phase worked great. Also the auto-calibration was awesome.

[Rewarded Review] Instructions could use some work

I'm a licensed electrician and I found the instructions a little lacking. I think it was just because the device was designed to be used single pole or three way. The self adjusting worked great. Dimmer does need that neutral.

[Rewarded Review] Don't buy unless you have a neutral wire

It doesn't say this on the package, but because it's an electronic device, not just a dumb switch, you have to have a neutral wire. If there isn't a neutral wire inside the box then it simply won't work. I gave it four stars because it seems like a great idea, but they should clarify on the outside that a neutral wire is required. When I bought it there were three boxes on the shelf that had obviously been opened and returned, and one un-opened one. Now I know why.

I’m happy with this product. Pro: very smooth, no flicker, worked with the original halogen, and now the LED lights. Cons: chunky like a gfci. The reset button for a different type of light requires that you take the plate off.

Installed switch and couldn't get it to work as intended. The dimmer switch had limited range for the bulb, almost non-existent. Returned switch and installed a different brand.

As others stated, the instructions are weak. It's totally frustrating trying to adjust the "trim" of the dimming level, since the behavior of the switch doesn't match the instructions. At one point I got the "low" dim level where I wanted it to be. Turned off the switch, and when I turned it back on it would light up. After more fiddling, I got the switch to light again, but my low-trim was lost.

This dimmer will dim any LED light

So I was in search and need of a LED dimmer that could dim my expensive light fixture. The previous dimmer switches were not able to dim this fixture properly for some reason. The light would flicker and make loud buzzing noise. I had to find something that would dim it and finally this dimmer was my last chance. The price is already telling you, you are buying a different type of dimmer. Normally dimmers cost around $30, this one goes up to $70. That is a steep price to ask for a simple looking dimmer. Thankfully, it works magic and made my light dim with no issue.

The dimmer works well, exactly as described in the instructions. As other reviewers have commented, the instructions are a little weak, but they're understandable. I've seen plenty of less readable instructions than these.

Doesn’t work and the instructions are weak

The instructions don’t give much detail and it didn’t work. The lights would just stay on at a dim level and wouldn’t turn off. Not good for an expensive “smart” switch.

Recommend buying a different brand

After installing this dimmer, we discovered the dimmer function didn't work. When I attempted to return it to Lowe's, I was told I could not return it without the original receipt (which was long gone amid numerous ongoing remodeling efforts). So much for the "Lifetime Guarantee" touted on the packaging. I'll purchase a different brand going forward and likely from a different seller.

Versatile dimmer - eliminated humming

I purchased this to hopefully settle the buzzing of some recessed LED bulbs I have in my kitchen and living room. Installation was easy - I prefer dimmers like this which do not have a lead wire, which only further cramps tight boxes. This has a switch to move between magnetic dimmer and ELV dimming, the latter being what I needed. Sure enough, the buzzing is completely gone. The dimming setup was a bit confusing but I went back to the instructions and all worked fine. There is a little LED above the switch that lights when the switch is off, to help find the switch in the dark. Not necessary, but a nice feature. Overall, I definitely recommend.
