If you need it you need it. No plate screws just 6-32 mounting screws you do not need IF you hav plate screws. A 3 gang plate is the same price. Now I need to rob painted plate screws from a switch plate.

Works perfect if you need to remove a toggle switch and don’t want to downsize the box. Just verify which color you need before purchasing: Ivory or Almond. Still hard for me to remember Almond is the lighter of the two.

Requires significant rework to be usable. Have to drill out slots for the attachment screws to the box. Then, have to drill out holes for plate attachment screws, and run screw into the holes a couple times to make threads. Works great once rework is completed, but should have been made correctly

This is a vey inexpensive solution to a problem. I had replaced a ceiling fan in my bedroom with a new fan that works from a remote. The existing fan had separate wall toggle switches, one each for the fan and light. With the new remote fan, I only needed one of these switches so I removed one of them which left a void in the switch box on the wall. The blank insert mounts into the box with the provided screws and fills the void. It has screw holes to mount the cover plate with. There were only two minor issues; the thickness of the plastic wing part that screws into the box is thicker than the metal wing on a regualar switch and this keeps the plate cover from going completely flat against the wall but it is not that noticeable. The other minor issue is that the screw hole that receives the plate cover is plastic and there was some difficulty installing the screw. Neither of these were a big deal so I would recommend this for filling in the blank when a switch is removed.

I paired this blank adaptor with a triple gang cover in order to cover up a very bad cut I made while hanging the dry wall the switches sit in. I’m very surprised at how well this works in this application. The switch cover makes it look as if it supposed to be there and there is no longer this awkward cut in my wall. It’s absolutely the lazy way out of a repair but this makes this application looks so natural it’s not worth trying anything else

The Leviton blank insert is a great little problem solver, you are able to cover an unwanted light switch that is no longer needed. We had removed one of our switches in our master bathroom because We put in decorative ceiling tiles and covered off the light over the tub. I have been looking for something to cover the opening in my wall switch and this does the job. They give you long enough screws to connect the switch cover to the electrical box, and it is very simple to install. Reinstall the switch cover and it looks like you have a wall switch.

Hi this Leviton Light Switch Cover is great as You can cover an unwanted Light Switch that You no longer need. I just removed one of my switches that I had in my Utility room because I did some major changes and I was looking for something to cover the opening in my wall and this does the job quite well. They give you long enough screws to connect the switch cover to the Electrical box then all I did was screw my face plate to the switch cover and it looks like you have a wall switch but you really don't Just another Great Product sold by Home Depot
