Firm, but not very comfy

This chair is firm, but is not really comfortable. It does not recline much and, even when pushing it back, it will nit stay reclined further. The leg rest does unfold and come up, but if you need to elevate your feet, this is not the chair for you. And i would not recommenend it as a “big and tall” chair as described. Not even close.

Walter Tufted Fabric Wingback Recliner Chair

Really pleased with this chair, very sturdy and solid once put together. Packaging was excellent, and actually it took 45 minutes or so to assemble because I was by myself and the arms were a little tricky to attach - the legs and back no problem. I chose the grey fabric which is really nice and once again, great value for money as a perfect 'reading & relaxing' chair.

Comfortable and easy to assemble

Very pleased. Easy enough to assemble-no tools needed--and for once the directions were extremely explicit. Looks good. The one problem for me as a short woman is that it is slightly taller than I might have hoped--with my back against the backrest my feet don't touch the floor. (As usual, for someone my height.) Solvable by reclining it or with a dictionary for a footrest

I ordered this chair in charcoal gray and I am not disappointed. It’s a stunning addition to our home. Fairly easy to put together and very comfortable. The cushion is firm which I like. It’s a very handsome chair with sleek lines and does not take up a lot of room.

Good option for a small recliner

I was looking for a small recliner chair and this one fits the bill. It is a space saver and the fabric is handsome. Four stars instead of five because it is not as comfortable as recliners usually are. The seat cushion doesn't have much give - feels more like sitting on cardboard. Hopefully it will soften up with time.

Good but a few points. First I've only had it for a few days. Overall not bad for the price. Says you should have 2 adults to assemble but not so. I did it myself as a middle aged female. The arm rests don't have a lot of padding, and the padding in the seat is a little firmer than I was expecting although that might be good in the long run if it softens up or squishes down some as time goes on. Color is a light cooler beige, not a warm beige, but again, still blends with my warmer beige room. For the price, I think it's a pretty good deal.

Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with this chair as I had hoped. Yes, I received the chair in record breaking time... Yes, it was extremely easy to put together... Yes it looks great... but that is where it ends. The most important aspects of a recliner were not there. No, it is not as comfortable as my older char in that the chair is uncomfortable in the middle of my back. It is like there is a hump in the back of the chair. And the chair doesn't stay all the way back when I lean back in the chair... It wants to come forward. I cannot recommend this chair... and only wish I could replace it with a chair that is more comfortable and will stay in the back position without having it come forward.

Beautiful chairs, with minor flaws

These chairs are super comfortable and the reclining feature works very smoothly. Assembly wasn't too challenging -- about 30 mins for the first chair and then 20 mins for the second chair. One of the chairs came with a stain, so I'll contact overstock to see if they'll replace for me. Otherwise, I really like the general look of these chairs! I got the beige color, which is just stunning. Because of how the assembly works, the back of the chair feels like it could be slightly unsupportive. So when I recline, I do get scared that it's going to fall back! So far it hasn't been an issue though. And secondly, I think the gap between the arm rest and the back looks soooo awkward. It's probably not too noticeable to guests, but it makes the chair look just slightly cheap. Otherwise, I think this was a great buy and I have no regrets!

Very nice addition to my new living room

Very classy looking, a little difficult to put together, 2 women ~ 40 min. Blue is rich, denim like color. But fabric attracts debris, will need a lint roller. For a thin or medium size person, sits nice and proper. Although this does recline, it's for a lightweight person, or no more than 200 lbs , in my opinion. Very small leg extension parts. This is a formal chair that can recline. It is not like a typical big puffy " recliner" at all. As long as you don't expect a full sized recliner, it's a very nice , rather formal chair, that has the additional benefit of a recliner that goes pretty far back! Pretty nice quality fabric. And very good chair. ( I wouldn't recommend a heavy person or a kid jumping or playing on it) Feels slightly wiggly when putting it together. Advise, Check over item carefully, Upon delivery, the box showed all kinds of damage, but luckily, it was packed well, and there was no damage to the chair! One more thing. I ordered 2 different color chairs at same time and I only got one item, the dark blue one. I have not received the light bluish one yet!

This chair beautifully pulls a modern look into a lower budget. We ordered two, but the price reflects the quality... A stripped out bolt fell out of one chair when we opened it. The other chair has a construction flaw in the back that makes it impossible to latch one of the wing back sides on - so it falls down if pushed or leaned on. There was also a staple we had to pull out that was in a threaded bolt hole. I had to argue with it for about 10 minutes until we took a flashlight to it with needle nose pliers.

Beautiful Chairs

I bought 2 of these in the "dark blue." Actually, it's a rich dark teal color. They are quite well made and very sturdy. The boxes were in good condition and there was no damage or missing parts. Assembly was easy, no tools required. The Allen wrenches were included. My son had them put together and ready to use in less than an hour. Reclining mechanism works properly. These are manual recliners snd I found it a little difficult to push back but I fully expect this to become easier with use. These chairs are rather small and fit very well in tight spaces. Seat is generously sized and firm. Quite comfortable when you lean into the back. I am very pleased with this purchase, particularly the beautiful warm color.

exactly as described

W love them. Very well made, easy to assemble. I read a lot of reviews before ordering and was a little apprehensive that they would not be comfortable, but they are just fine. We watch TV in them every night. They are not HUGE chairs, which is what we wanted. Take up less room but are just right. He is 6" tall, I am 5'8" and we have plenty of room. The reclining feature could have had 2 heights, but since I never use that feature, and my husband is happy with it , it, it is fine. We bought ottomans to go with them, as we need more space for the cat AND our legs than the recliner pad offers.(see photos)The seat IS stiffer than our old chairs, but, as many reviewers have said, it does soften with use. We have only had them 2 months and love them. I bought the grey chairs, and keep navy towels on them to protect from our cat's hair, and also to coordinate with the rud we bought, also Overstock. We have redone our entire family room with Overstock goods. Fast delivery, almost always exactly as described.

Love, love this recliner chair! I recently broke my leg and will need to keep it elevated for a 3-month period as I get around with a walker. I needed an alternate place from the couch to sit and recline my leg until it heals. I did not want a clunky recliner chair and wanted something slimmer in size and at the same time more fashionable. The minute I saw the Christopher Knight recliner I knew it would be perfect. I have had the chair for a couple of weeks and I am so happy I purchased it! Family comment on how beautiful the chair is and how well it blends with my decor. I also love how easily the chair reclines as well as the comfort! Thank you to Christopher Knight for combining your superb sense of affordable style with functionality.

Shoddy build quality and rickety after just a few months. My wife and I have no kids, and don't even sit in these often, and they're already falling apart after 6 months. During assembly the chair legs would not screw in perfectly straight and now have to be routinely straightened and tightened to prevent them from buckling inwards. I should've sent the chairs back then but didn't. I thought I'd give them a chance. What as mistake. They've since become rickety and sway everytime you sit down in them, leading you to think they could collapse at any moment. Also, the decorative brass buttons have begun popping out. Absolutely shameful quality and I'm about to buy a new set of chairs to repleace these after less than a year as the warranty is only good for 90 days and I have no recourse.

This is a nice chair for occasional use. It looks nice and sits well both for individuals of average height and those who are taller. I am 5.5 and my daughter is 6.2 and we both like the way it sits and can both keep our feet on the floor – me without reaching and her without having her knees at her ears.

A great chair, with a great feel, at a great price. I love this occasional chair, as it has the ability to recline. I would say this is a very decent value. The fabric, the buttons on the tufts, the frame, and reclining mechanism are all great, nothing feels like anything other than a well made chair. I am a taller guy, and I can be comfortable in it; others in the household that are less tall seem to like it even more. Regardless, this is a piece of furniture that will fit into many people's decor and floorplans . It isn't so large that it is overwhelming, like my big lift assist recliner, it is reasonably sized and reasonably priced. This chair weighed 84lbs as a shipping weight, and think it weighs in at over 60lbs without packaging. This should tell you that this is not some piece of dollhouse furniture.

This is a very nice chair for the price! The chair arrives in four pieces plus the legs and is relatively easy to assemble (no tools required) and easier with two people. The chairs I have found in furniture stores in a comparable price range are not as good quality as this one and the chairs of comparable quality in the furniture stores cost quite a bit more. This chair is comfortable to sit in; reclined or not. The fabric seems to be durable and easy to clean. During assembly, I did have to remove two broken staples that had exposed sharp points -both were right next to or on top of another properly fastened staple. Had I not removed the bad staples, they likely would have damaged the fabric when assembled. I also had to set one staple that was not completely seated -all things I consider minor and easily remedied. There is no a lever to assist with the reclining action -you have to use your upper body which might be a minor challenge for shorter people using it. Overall it is a good looking, comfortable chair of very good quality for the price.

Good looking, cheap, uncomfortable chair.

Pros: looks good and good price. It's packed well so that everything fits in a box way smaller than you'd expect, which is also kind of a con because of the additional steps for assemble (see below)...
