Looks like wrapping paper

I was hoping for a thicker woven grass cloth, but this is very loosely woven grass glued to a shiny white paper. It's not horrible, but looks a little cheap and doesn't have the "natural" I was hoping to get.

I actually was kind of unhappy with this for my project, but I think it would be PERFECT as it is intended as wallpaper! It looks incredible and as wall paper it would be perfect! So definitely use if you are doing on walls - which is why most people would buy haha! I just was aspiring to do a DIY project of wallpaper on a countertop. Do not use on furniture or anything where the wall paper has to be cut vertically. It is such a strong weave, that cutting vertically can really damage the wallpaper.

I wasn't expecting this paper to have such a golden sheen to it, so if gold is not your thing, don't get this! It added such a bit of elegance and organic-ness to my guest room and guest bath. It was easy to install, even though I hadn't installed wallpaper in probably 20 years.
