My sinuses & wood floors need a humidifier & I prefer this model. I’ve used it for almost 20 years; this is my 3rd. Filling the bottle from a smaller water filtered spout is perfect.
Great Humifier!
I was looking for a big humidifier like this! Locally all I could find were table top humidifiers and I did try an XL floor humidifier that left a film over everything in the house. When I was growing up we always had a humidifier like this and this was exactly what I was looking for. Assembly was quick and easy following the instructions and it didn't take long for it to be up and running. I was put off at first by the fact that there was only one water bottle and that it filled differently than the ones I've had in the past. However I soon found there was nothing to worry about. With the provided easy fill hose for the sink I can easily fill the bottle in the kitchen or bathroom sink. This humidifier is quiet and puts out a lot of humidity which is very much needed in Minnesota in the winter time. #sweepstakes
I previously had a similar humidifier from the same company that lasted me 20 years. My wife wanted something that looked a little different and so we purchased this unit.
Thirsty and Delicate
Be gentle with this one. Even though it has wheels best to get this setup where you want it and not move it. The housing is like picking up your 95 year old grandma; frail, flimsy, and easily breakable. Once set though, this thing gets thirsty even at the lowest setting. The 5+ gallon tank will empty itself in about 18 hours so if you need it to run a weekend it won't.
not sure at this time.
Just bought this unit. I think the fan assembly could use some improvements.
I will buy this product again!!
I have a whole house humidifier in my home which has become less effective over the years and rather then replace it for about $700 I decided to replace it with this unit. Couldn't believe it brought the humidity in my 2600 sq ft home up from 30 to 45 in two days and my whole house unit shut down for the first time this winter. Plus, I saved about $500. I am sold on this unit!!
Dont! Machine Runs Continuously
This machine continuously runs- even when the water has run out of the storage unit. It is super loud. I purchased a up to 3700sq unit, even though my house is 3200sq. I have read the instructions many times, but nothing changes. Very frustrating!!!!
Pretty Good, but Noisy.
It's nice to go several days without filling the reservoir. However, it is noisier while it's running than I had expected. Thank goodness I sleep upstairs. If you don't place the fill-side cover just right or bump the unit slightly, the covers become skewed. Which causes the unit to rattle more.

It is cheaply made and very loud. The thin plastic frame reverberates with the vibration of the unbalanced fan. Its real capacity is 2.5 gallons. Only way to reach 5 is to fill the reservoir once. Put it in the machine and wait 20 minutes for it drain to the bottom then refill it again. Other brands do not use this deceptive labeling for capacity.
Design Flaw
The rod that should float up and engage the fan when water is added has tendency to stick and not move up. Have to remove the water bottle reach over under the fan and manually lift the rod to engage the fan. Once the fan activates it will keep running until the water runs out. Then this procedure has to be done again. Not the best design.
Not all that
I have guitars and the worst thing for them is dry air. I have a small room ultrasonic humidifier for the room those are in but with winter and the furnace running it was barely keeping up. I bought this unit since it is rated for 3700 sf and have seen music stores use this in their acoustic guitar rooms. It has yet to raise humidity above 30% in a 2500 sf single story home. The water bottle needs to be refilled at least 3x per day. The unit is loud above F2. The air coming out is cold so I think the furnace is running more and continuing to dry the air. Don't see the humidity coming up above 35% unless it's raining outside. I put a hygrometer on top of the unit and the humidity on top of the unit never goes above 50% yet there's a setting on the unit for 65%??? I put this in the small room with the guitars and it never shut off. Humidity never got above 40%. The little ultrasonic humidifier does better than this in the small room. AND... it has gone dry but the cheap plastic rod and styrofoam float don't move to shut the fan off. For the cost of this, you could buy 3 or 4 small room units that are quieter and actually turn off when they empty. I'm taking it back cuz it just ain't all that!
Effective Humidity !!
Replaced 10+yr old double bottle - double fan system that finally gave up the ghost. Pluses are, it is quieter to a degree and the sensor is much more accurate. We have it in the dining room and it keeps entire end of home comfortable. (we have separate system in bedroom). Negatives are this bottle is much more difficult to fill and the single bottle - double quantity idea sort of works. It feels flimsy and the plastic is thinner than the old one. Cheap but cheerful :-)

Made mostly of cheap, flimsy plastic. It’ll run uninterrupted for ~16hrs on the lowest setting. The most it’s raised the humidity in my house is 70%. The highest setting is LOUD- much too loud to be used while anyone is home. It can be heard from the other side of my 1800 sqft house. It’s very large. You can see the fan’s copper windings when looking at the top of the unit. It is not aesthetically pleasing.
Does what it says
Unboxing and assembly took about 15 minutes. There is a water tank that puts water at the bottom of the wick and a fan at the top that pulls air through the wet wick and blows out humidified air. That's how evaporative humidifiers work. This machine is loud on high, but noise happens when any fan is turned on high. If it was quiet, it wouldn't be producing as much humidity- nobody has invented small quiet fans that move a lot of air. A quieter option would be a warm or cool mist humidifier, but those are only good for one room. I'm happy with mine but expected the loud fan when on high.
Doesn't Work Well
Did not wick the water up to put into the air. When I called the manufacturers customer service, I was told our water was probably either too hard or too soft, (neither of which is true--we have excellent quality water). Also, the water jug is a hassle to fill, is very inconvenient to use, & very loud. Brought it back & bought a Lacidoll Ultrasonic Humidifier that seems to be working great! It's much more versatile, compact, convenient, quiet, easy to fill, & is working fine with our water!
Fantastic! Huge improvement in comfort!
Fantastic! This makes a HUGE difference in the comfort of your living area. Having the correct moisture in the air allows the heat in the room to be balanced and stable. Basically, you'll notice that your heat won't run as often and you won't feel a chill in the air as the heat dissipates as you do with a room that is too dry.
My Skin, Hair, and Nose are Thanking Me!
The air in our 2200 sq home is humidified at a setting of 40 and the lowest fan setting. I have it set in a central location and the fan noise is tolerable. I have been keeping it off overnight as humidity seems to stay in the air when all the windows are closed and no heating on. If heating is used, I would turn it on overnight. The float is a bit touchy, especially if you let the water tank run completely out (although there is water in the bottom of the unit still). I am not sure how long the wick will last. I have only been using the unit for a few weeks. I'd say this is worth the money I paid for it. Before I was using two, small tabletop humidifiers, and I was constantly having to refill them.
It works but not to product description
Had this two weeks. I bought for it's size as it said it would meet the needs of our space. It works to humidify the main level of our home (about half of the 3700 square feet listed) but not the entire home. When the setting is on 45% running full time the humidity gets to 35%+-. The water fill tank is just 2 1/2 gallons so needs refilled at least twice a day when running full time so this isn't convenient at all, as well the filler attachment does not work on our sink. This humidifier is pretty loud, even on the lowest setting and having to run all the time to get steady humidity levels it gets annoying. Haven't yet decided to return it.
Eh. So so
AirCare keeps changing things on their humidifiers. Tanks, no tanks. Two fans, one fan. Push button controls, knob controls. I generally like this model, but do not like the knob controls that stick up from the top of the unit, and the slow fan speed is like the number two speed on the previous model we had. I like the tank in this model, but disappointed there is only one. Between the tank and internal reservoir there might be 5.3 gal, but it's a 2.5 or 3 gallon tank.
This will do the trick
Nice looking and relatively quiet at low speed. Pumps a lot of moisture into the air and can raise humidity from 35 to 45 during the winter in roughly an hour. If running all day at a target humidity level of 40, you will need to refill the tank every 24 hours. Not a problem though because it is very simple to pull the tank out and fill it with the included hose and faucet spigot attachment. I docked one star because the power button and fan speed controls are fidgety. Sometimes have to press the power button several times to get it to turn off. Also I've had to occasionally power the unit off and back on again before the fan speed control would work. I contacted the manufacturer and they are sending out a replacement head unit.
